Blue skies smilin' at me
It’s been a while, but life has been busy.
I’m pretty happy at the moment. I exempted two of my three exams (which means I have A’s in two of my four classes) so I don’t have to go to school next week. Woo!
This past Friday I was promoted to supervisor at AMC, and today was my first day wearing the “blue-shirt.” It felt nice…although I had to wear it from 9:30am to 9:00 pm-damn doubles!
I’ve also been seeing more of Brad lately, and it’s been awesome. He recently got his license and he and his mom share a car. Though I have to say, whenever we try to go somewhere out of St. Pete, we get lost. It’s all part of the adventure!
AMC has been going more smoothly. Jessica informed me of some very hurtful things that Niki said, including criticism of the way I was raised and that I am fake and yadda yadda yadda… But I’m done with the fucking competition. Last Tuesday I went out to eat with Chris, his dad, step-mom, step-sister, Kyle and Niki, and things went very well. I made Chris’ dad laugh a lot, and I chatted with Chris’ 15-year-old step-sister. She’s pretty sweet. =) Anyway, after that night I feel more comfortable with who I am and I no longer feel the need to be on my guard at every minute. So whatever. Niki and I aren’t friends, but I’ll be friendly. Enough said.
Not everything has been so great. Something awful happened recently, but I can’t discuss it yet. I have to wait until someone else takes action first. That sounds confusing…just know that it’s completely depressing, and couldn’t have happened at a worse time.
