WHY, WITH VANILLE YOU CAN...
» YES: Fights, relationships (friend or more serious, etc.), just ask me~.
» MAYBE: If you want an official relationship. (The whole I CAN BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND-O~!) I prefer you confirm it with me. |Db
» NO: Just ask! Normally I'm fine with anything as long as it was mentioned to me.
» PAIRING PREFERENCES: If it works, it works. I'm not going to deny anything if there's the build up supporting it.
So....yeah.
I'm fine with your characters doing anything to Vanille. Though, for obvious reasons, more serious things, I'd prefer run by me first, just for the sake of me knowing and planning out anything else going on beforehand in case.
[Description] Vanille has orange-red hair, which she keeps in two pigtails at all times, with bright green eyes contrasting. Despite her technical actual age, she is an average size and height for a 19 year old, standing at 161 cm (or 5'3"). The thing that will distract you most about her is Vanille's strange attire. It is similar to the wear of many tribal Himba women; she has an assortment of beaded attachments and necklaces on her pink halter-top and orange and yellow skirt. The beaded necklaces on her upper half attach in the front middle, to a tribal design with small fangs on it. At her waist, on the backside, is the pelt of a bear she killed once, when she lived back on Gran Pulse, and carries an assortment of bangles on each wrist. On her upper left thigh is the mark of her L'cie mark, which remains hidden by her skirt.
Technically, Vanille is 519, but she has a child-like air to her, as it was said once that her eyes held an innocence like a young child, compared to Fang's. Slender in build, her face is usually quirked in a smile of some sort, as her expression is usually always a cheerful one. For a person who spent all their time hunting and gathering all their livelihoods themselves, her skin is quite fair.
[Personality] Most people's first impressions of Vanille is that she is more or less on the childish side, as there's a side of her that tends to cause her actions to seem a bit careless at times. It's not that she doesn't care to know about the situation or danger, but oftentimes curiosity or optimism wins out with her. It's a trait that seems to be most helpful to those around her, since no matter how hopeless things get, she will find the brighter side to it, in a way that makes her look like an endless supply of optimism. She may be naive, but she is strong enough to be able to survive on Gran Pulse, where survival of the fittest rings true for all its inhabitants.
Having been turned to crystal for 500 years, and being born in Gran Pulse, there are a lot of technologies she doesn't quite grasp, though both her and Fang are quite good at blending in. In that point, she acts with an amazement that usually gets associated with children with a new toy. Though Vanille scares easily, her curiosity always tends to win out. It goes to the point where it won't matter too much what everyone else has to think despite whatever situation they're in. She still cares about them strongly, and tries to reassure and consider whatever their feelings are (Though this is usually where she tells them it'll be fine, and convince them to come along with stubbornness and optimism). People close to Vanille will often tell you that she laughs majority of the time, can be a crybaby, but kind to anyone she meets. The person she cares for most is Fang, her closest friend from Oerba Village. Constantly, she will worry and hates being away from her, though she dislikes being alone in general.
While she appears cheerful and happy-go-lucky, most of the time, she's deathly afraid inside. Vanille has a tendency to run away from said fears, by recalling happier times. She carries around a deep guilt, mostly towards Sazh and Serah, but stemming to the rest of the main cast mates of XIII. She constantly ran from her focus as a L'Cie, not wanting to destroy Cocoon. She was prepared to just turn Cieth, however, after the support of new friends and Fang, she finally came to terms with it. Having been frightened by it before, she realized that wishes and dreams come true, only by one persevering and making it happen.
[Canon]
Vanille is one of the two who basically catapulted the events of Final Fantasy XIII into motion. She and Fang, having become Pulse L'cie 500 years before the game even began, were given the focus to destroy Cocoon, by becoming Ragnarok. The destructive power and idea of killing so many frightened Vanille, and she refused, forcing Fang to do it alone. She wasn't able to destroy it, but left a giant scar on the outer shell.
After being crystallized and awakening in Cocoon 500 years later, Vanille decided to pretend she forgot her focus as well, effectively running away from her job as a Pulse L'Cie. This is what caused Serah Farron, Lightning's sister and Snow's fiancée, and Dajh, Sazh's son, turned to L'Cie. After getting separated from Fang, her guilt leads her to joining up in the Purge, where she meets Nora and Hope Estheim, who she decides to stay near because they were kind. After Hope's mother dies, she helps Hope go chase after Snow, and all eventually end up in front of Anima, where Lightning, Snow, Hope and Sazh become Pulse L'Cie.
She keeps trying to run away from her focus, tagging along with Sazh, until she has to confront him about the fact she's the reason his son, and the rest of the party, became L'Cie. In that respect, she figures she should stop running, and try her best to help her fellow L'Cie, to make it up for at least an ounce of the trouble she's caused.
In any case, they manage to flee from Cocoon to Pulse, where Vanille decides they should go to Oerba Village, in hopes of some answers (or people), and that chase leads them back to Cocoon. In order to save Cocoon, they had to destroy the fal'Cie that wants Cocoon destroyed. When they all reach Orphan's Cradle, everyone minus Fang and Vanille become Cieth, and Orphan tortures Vanille to become Ragnarok, though Fang volunteers instead and fails. She instead accepts, but is saved when everyone reverts back to normal. Afterwards, Vanille, with Fang, stay behind, and become Ragnarok, sacrificing themselves to prevent Cocoon from crashing into Gran Pulse by becoming crystals.
[Timeline] When Orphan is trying to coerce Vanille into becoming Ragnarok through torture. The last thing she remembers is Fang agreeing to do it instead. She hits the ground pretty hard, waking on a train to Elegy, instead.
