Endo appointment

I just got back from my second endocrinologist appointment.  I would have gone to work this afternoon, but I scheduled an optometrist appointment right afterwards because the offices are right next to each other, and now my eyes are too dilated to get anything done.  q-:  Good thing I can touch type and have set my screen to an insanely large font ( Read more... )

Wow what an awsome endo you have!

I saw an older gentleman who is part of the Gender Dysphoria Clinic here and his views were very much around needing to become a 'man' and didn't get genderqueer.

Wonder who the other trans* peeps are ;)

Thanks for your comment! I'm sorry your endo's stuck in the binary, although at least he seems to be providing you with decent care -- I know other trans*folk who are afraid to tell their doctors about their non-binary identities for fear that they'll be forced to discontinue treatment. I think that my endo's good about it because she's transitioning at basically the same time as me, so we probably had access to the same information on-line. Older doctors who don't keep up with "kids these days" are really missing out on valuable resources!

And yeah, curiosity about who the other trans*folk are (and if any of them would ever want to be my friend just so I wouldn't feel like the only genderqueer in the whole state) is definitely on my mind. This is the only instance I've ever encountered where my desires were at odds with doctor-patient confidentiality. q-:
