- I spoke with a lovely guy from interstate who mentioned that many trans* guys don't take proper care of their voice, especially as it tends to fluctuate between the initial monthly until it (deally) settles. He suggested seeing a voice/speech therapist and/or someone who specialises in Alexander technique.
- I found my muscles were stiffer and I had an overall growing-pain ache in the fisr few weeks, which I treated with Krill Oil and Magnesium suppliments.
- I too was tired after starting T but I never knew if it was my body adjusting or my low thyroid.
Ah, I looked into voice training when I was in the Bay Area, but it was way more expensive than out-of-pocket T and the entire process of obtaining it. I've been meaning to look into voice training since I moved, though. I thought maybe I'd have less voice fluctuation because the daily gel gives a more consistent dose compared to weekly/biweekly injections that lead to a cycle of sorts, but today my voice was higher than the previous few days, so I think I've proven myself wrong. Anyway, it's high time I did some research on this, so thanks for the suggestion.
I already take a calcium-magnesium supplement, so that might be why I haven't noticed muscle aches. I've never heard of krill oil before. o.O
If anything, my thyroid's overactive, so I think this is the T. Or maybe it's psychosomatic from the semester ending. The world may never know, for either of us!
