From
emperor, who gave me an L, excepting he did it in lowercase so I had to spend a short while figuring out if it was in fact an I due to a lamentable lack of serifs.
Something I hate: Loneliness. Fortunately it doesn't seem to affect me anywhere near as much as it used to; I mostly seem to credit Fiona for this though I'm not entirely sure what she did to make that happen.
Something I love: The only thing you have to love is love itself. Also, see "someone I know".
Somewhere I've been: Lord's Cricket Ground, both for the traditional reason of watching a cricket match and the less traditional one of watching Olympic archery.
Somewhere I'd like to go: Lisbon, maybe? Never been to anywhere on the Iberian peninsula, so generally curious. (Also, my brain wanted to call that the Andalusian peninsula, a clear sign I've spent too long playing Paradox games as Muslim Spain...)
Someone I know: Lydia! Or Polaris, often ("The North Star in the firmament/You shine the most bright", sang Ash, many many years ago, demonstrating a poor knowledge of stellar magnitudes but arguably a better appreciation of poetry) when I write about her. She's kind, good company, likes many of the same things I do and is always happy to see me (also, remarkably beautiful unless she's having a bad day, in which case you can't tell because she's hidden under a hoodie). I feel very lucky to know her.
A film I like: I'm not sure there are any. At least, not without removing the definite article from Peter Jackson's trilogy. The only films that begin with L that I can think of having seen are Live and Let Die and License to Kill, neither of which I rate. No, I have not seen either of the films you are thinking of that start with "Life of..."
