Real life has been made of epic fail lately, with very few things that can stand as an exception to that rule.
The non-faily things are as follows:
1) My daughter turned one on July 25th. We had quite the shindig for her, and it was fabulous - butterfly decor and she got an insane amount of awesome new toys and clothes, which is always good for us. Then, I had the pleasure of giving her a cupcake with chocolate icing and though she didn't make the mess that most babies do, she was still rather hilarious.
2) That same weekend was San Diego Comic Con and though I obviously did not go, it afforded me this:
(Can you say 'Jaw Porn'? I knew you could.)
Dear Parental Figures of Robert Thomas Pattinson,
Thank you for creating such a beautiful man.
I am forever in your debt.
Regards,

3) On Sunday, my favorite fic ever completed, and it was absofuckinglutely fantastic. It's called
A Murmur of Fire in the Vein, and it is written by ElleCC. I can't tell you why this story is my favorite. It defies all the requirements most people have: It is a non-canon pairing (Jasper/Bella), it deals with some pretty heavy issues, there is virtually no sex (a miracle for a Twi-fic!) and in the face of the non-canon pairing, both Edward and Alice are involved in the story. But inspite of that, it is. It's beautiful and heartwrenching and hapy
Hot Man of the Week:
He happens to be a friend of Rob's.
Ladies and Gents, meet Bobby Long.
Reasons I am slightly enamored with Bobby, and have been for months now:
1) He has pretty lips. What.
2) He's talented, and humble, and well ..
3) He's British. And I am an Anglophile.
4)
Listen to him sing "Who Have You Been Loving?" in Dallas.
Friggin' swoon.
And, a few funnies:
Click here. JUST DO IT. I mean ... I won't say that I won't buy any, as some of it is actually pretty, but come on. Really?
Rob, I love you, but i have no idea what the f you're doing here:
And lastly, this:
And finally:
What I'm Listening to Right Now:
The "Across the Universe" soundtrack. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is among the most beautiful songs I have ever heard, and so is "Something". The common denominator is, of course, George Harrison. Sigh. O, how I love The Beatles.
Alice in Chains and Soundgarden, and I don't really know why, aside from the fact that they were just really freaking great 90's grunge bands. Oh, also, Our Lady Peace.
Adele. Because that biatch can sing like it's nobody's business.
