the long-awaited interview da spice

Where(/who/what/how) will you be in five years?
I shall be living somewhere other than charleston- perhaps columbia, maybe out west somewhere, or if the gods be especially fond of me- in italy w/ my fabulously gorgeous husband. most importantly i will be a professional artist- meaning i don't have a sucky dayjob working for the Man, and i'll be doing quite well, all successful-like & mildly famous. (not like 'can't go to the grocery store w/out getting mobbed by throngs of adoring fans' famous, more like 'my name is recognized by a discerning audience & my work is widely appreciated for its beauty & Subject Matter'.

What is the most difficult choice you’ve ever had to make?
hmmm... probably leaving jon and my sucklife in columbus georgia to move to another state where i only knew 2 people (his sister & her husband) & had no job & no home. yeah. i think i made the right choice.

What would be your dream house/living quarters?
a comfortable little cottage on the cliffy coast of italy w/ lots of big windows, a little garden w/ flowers & vegetables, and a terrace overlooking the sea. it will have hardwood floors in all the rooms except the kitchen & bath, which will have ceramic tile that i made myself in my own kiln. the kitchen will be big & bright & modern, & the bath will have a great big tub for 2 w/ a bay window. and it will have a spacious light-filled studio. and many places to sit & sleep for my extremely affectionate cats.

What single thing in life are you most passionate about...what’s that one thing without which you just can’t be fulfilled?
the ability to paint my dreams. paintypaint paintpaint. paint.

What do you believe your purpose in life to be?
my purpose in life is to collect as much information about Life & the universe through my own experiences, & to synthesize & process that information to form something greater than the sum of individual sensations, & then gift that back to the collective unconscious & the universal experience of the divine. or more simply put: to paint. :D

m'kay... so... yeah, there's an obvious pattern there in my answers. hm. interesting.

meme, paint
