This is from the FRIDAY magazine isn't it? LMAO! First time reading such commotion over two Johnny's going out for dinner together.
Pretty much the report is saying "The two of them ONLY? WHY???"
Not sure why they find it weird because even if Sho and Toma don't seem to be regular hang-out buddies with each other but they do email/send messages to each other a lot and, it's Arashi and Toma. Half the work Toma did was similar to Sho - Hachikuro, Ningen Shikkaku.
You know I was those people who were really confused over this "Why Sho and Toma ONLY XD" and you're right it's Toma and Arashi after all XD plus Sho and Toma have triapsed along similar works. I'm sure they have lots to talk about.

But at the same time the rave is about the fact that their REALLY busy and wouldn't they prioritize people they're usually around? Cause Toma seems to take every opportnity to breathe to run to Yamapi XD (or Jun). This was the reason I was all 'huh?' over this XD So I guess most people (including the reporter?) were thinking along these lines? XD
Toma said for the last year, he's been hanging with K8 a lot (other than jun, pi, shun etc.). Actually if among Arashi members, it would be a lot weirder if it was Aiba and Toma ONLY. It's like Yoko-Toma-Pi - Toma goes out with Yoko, Toma goes out with Pi but neither goes out with each other without Toma until recently.
In Aiba's case, Yoko goes out with Aiba, Yoko goes out with Toma but I don't hear of any Aiba-Toma interaction other than at Arashi-related events. Aiba hangs out with Kazama more and even met up with Pi a few times. But then again, they are all Johnny's so who knows what private dinners they have together that they don't feel the need to talk about.

From time to time I’d see them and get absorbed into them when I’m cleaning my room. It’s really nostalgic. For example, (Sakurai) Sho-kun looks really young in them. Saying that, I have many pictures of Sho-kun ne. Sho kun always brings a camera a long to take pictures.There really was a lot of Jr pics of them like one of Sho squishing Toma's face with Jun. Toma was also in West Side Story with Ohno, Sho and Jun - lots of stories of them hanging out, eating and drinking until morning (can't really remember what exactly). Sho even mentioned in one of the magazine that he watched Toma's Ningen Shikkaku while on-flight to Europe that time
