I adore the Cirque icons and I snagged #17, #18. There aren't many fans out there who make such great icons so I'm so happy. Out of curiosity, do you know what Vai Veradai means? I've been wanting to know :p I like Alegria but not compared to Varekai. I'd love to see more :)

I just saw Varekai tonight! it means "wherever" in Romany.

as for vai, I'm not sure.

Someone told me what Varekai was recently too. I meant 'Vedrai' as in the song in Alegria - 'Vai Vedrai' :) That's a nice song. And In Varekai I absolutely love Matheiu (the singer in the purple) ;)

Vai Vedrai is italian, and roughly translated, means "go and you will see". I made some Varekai icons a while back, archived here, if you're interested.

I adore Matheiu's voice, and I like the fact that he is featured in greater prominence in Varekai as a character, almost, unike in Quidam (I understand why, but we want to see more Mathieu, darnit!).

I like Varekai, but I ultimately still prefer Alegría - it was one of only two Cirque shows that have ever come to Singapore. I got to hear Francesca as the White Lady and Eve as the Black Lady! And I got to see the contortion act performed by two artistes (Ulziibayar Chimed and her partner) instead of just one like in the Alegría DVD. Nyaha.

bah, that's what I get for reading too fast and not paying attention. though the translation reminds me of the Apocalypse - "come and see". spooooky.

I also love Matheiu's voice - quite strange to hear him in random places. way back when Roswell was on they used some Quidam songs clips and I was omgwtfpolarbear! I know where that's from!

I like Varekai much more than Alegría, but I think Quidam best of all. I'm fortunate enough to live in Texas where we get all the tour, albiet eventually. didn't care for Dralion as much, but the music is v. sensual. I do want to see all the shows in Vegas, and as I've just turned 21 it'll happen sooner or later.
