So it's been a while since I've written in here. Okay, so it's been a really, really, REALLY long while. I couldn't figure out the password for this journal for the longest time, but for some reason I tried a few of my old passwords and I got in. Woot!
And wow, have things changed a lot.
I think I owe a few people an actual update. *coughROSIEWHOWON'TSTOPBUGGINGMEcough*
Things are okay. I can't say things are bad, but I am nowhere near the point where I want everything to be (as usual). And today... I haven't done much today. Lazy, unmotivated day, I guess. But surely a worthwhile one, as Nathaniel came over. Woot! He's finally back from Japan. It was really good to see him considering it's been a couple years already. And he brought me getas (sp?) and something to wear, and a handbag! From Japan!
I will play dress up and take pictures later. :)
It's been a little weird around here lately since Rich moved back to Ohio and the Jen I once knew is MIA. But I still have Oleg here, and a few cool people who I don't know too well but they still give me hope for humankind. :P And praise the deity of technology for the internet.
As for Cherryfix, they're putting together another FYE tour. We'll be putting out the Cherryfix album under an indie label called Masquerade / Lumberjack, but at the beginning of '08 it'll be under Universal Music distribution. So we'll be under a... major indie? Indie major? Or we'll just be indie with major label distribution. We'll see. But we've got music on a few MTV shows and "Call Me" was just entered into the Clear Channel database, so... it's a good thing.
Melolagnia is moving... slowly. The website is about to start development, and recording has just been... so slow, as well. But we've followed the plan, and the plan was for me to finish the Berklee course and then we'd get going. I've learned a great deal from the course, at least to the extent that I'll be comfortable when we start the mixing process, and it definitely helps that I can look back to my course materials whenever I need to. Oleg's been keeping up with the course as well, although not quite as much since he has a lot of other stuff going on, but we will be just fine as a self-produced duo. We have the live version of Untouchable up at www.myspace.com/melolagnia and the only other stuff online is YouTube (just look for emii oleg or melolagnia... something like that).
Okay... that's about all I've got. I'm going to waste another day on the Science Channel.
