this is from my online class, a student posted about a scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark:
"A black broad is handy for Indy to draw the essential stuff needed to locate the whereabouts of the ark. You can really observe the direction of how the lighting was designed by seeing the strong shadows from Harrison as he is drawing on the broad."
