Room 224: Monday Evening

After a day of fun in the ball pit and just tossing balls in general, Layla headed back to her room in a good mood. After all it had rained pop tarts on Saturday, the quiz in Barney's class was a blast and tomorrow was looking pretty good as well.

George looked up as she came in then frowned, jumping up to be ready just in case. "Are ye alright, Layla?"

Layla paused for a second before replying. She made her way to her bed and sat down.

"I don't know," she said softly.

Which weird for a lass who claimed t'know stuff.

"Shall I find a healer for you?" He asked, looking worried because she didn't so much look right.

"No, I just feel fuzzy," she said with a frown. "Something happened."

"Y'don't look fuzzy," he remarked helpfully. "Or d'you mean magic-wise?"

Nothing seemed weird t'him, but then his Sight wasn't usually like that.

"I'm not magical," Layla replied as she hugged herself. "It's... okay my brain feels fuzzy. Something is throwing me completely off."

He frowned, coming close enough to try to pat her shoulder gently but staying far enough way that he wasn't intruding upon her space too much.

"Somethin' t'worry about indeed," he said. "Did it ever happen before?"

"Yeah," Layla frowned. "It has. And that's not a good thing."

"Trouble then," George said. He shouldn't be interested in what this would end up to be. "Can I be askin' what happened before?"

"Just coming down here after playing in the ball pit," Layla mused.

"So it's happened twice today?" George asked, slightly confused.

[iknowstuff]

"Hmm? No. Just the once," Layla replied.

[noearsyet]

"Then when before?" He asked, studying her curiously. "An' what happened then?"

[iknowstuff]

"Oh," Layla said shaking her head and looking distracted. "Before before. There was a girl who had someway of nullifying my ability. She smashed me over the head with a rock and tried to drown me."

George did not approve so much of that. "Aye, well, we'll make sure there'll be no dumpin' in th' lake this time."

She was his roommate, dammit. Not allowed.

Layla let a small grin come up on her face. "You're sweet. It's not guaranteed it'll happen again but... yeah."
