It's an absolutely gorgeous day outside.
Normally I would complain that I'm stuck inside working on a day like today.
However, across town there is a group of people stuck inside a hotel conference room, sharing their pain with each other.
They are family members of missing and murdered Aboriginal women.
I went there to do a story for CBC, and one woman whose daughter went missing in February was gracious enough to speak to me.
I can't even begin to imagine her pain or the pain of everyone else there.
Talk about perspective. Listening to this woman tell her story through tears, I realised I have absolutely nothing to complain about. My life may not be perfect, but really, it's pretty darn close. I'm safe, healthy, and loved. Can't ask for much more than that.
