Things have been going well; I have finally started to really enjoy a of my classes--especially my African American Studies(awesome course).

My prof. for that class is so in your face--its awesome.

There is not day I do not leave that class full of ideas.

( possible major in African American Studies??????)

Wow, I truly enjoy meeting and talking to awesome people.

A good number of people on my floor are very intelligent; I can spend hours talking with them. I do not feel intimidated by them, I just feel great that they are so friendly and intelligent and that I have the opportunity of living near them. I learn a lot from them--my second family

Yesterday, I was in hella talkative mood. I felt content and ready to talk about anything. As I took a break from reading Malcolm, X, I went to the lounge and started talking with 2 friends. It was fun talking about the locals of berkeley ( the "crazy ones") and me telling my stories of touching an actual human brain and how I know several ways of drug inhallation and parenta routes of drugs.

I think I talked for 40 minutes. And just as I was reading myself--joining the reading party as we cal them--this person from the first floor walked over to us and said hi. Both Fiona and I had never met this person, but we became really good friends quickly. We talked about movies, books and how we were both photic sneezers. He even took us to his suite to check it out. We were about to watch Chidren of Men with him, but I definetly needed to read.

He said that Fiona and I were the friendliest people he has met at his building. We later showed him to our dorms and introduced him to several other floormates.

His name is Ricardo Gomez--he said he was named after an old character of a novela.

So yeah, a new person to hang out with from the first floor.

The first floor is so isolated; so isolated that Ricardo did not know we had a 3rd floor lol.

I did not realize that I was going on a 3 day field trip this weekend to Occidental Retreat Center ( wherever that is). I am going to be gone for the whole weekend. Friday afternoon is the time I am going to be leaving and I think I am going to get back late on Sunday.I do not even have a sleeping bag. I need to do laundry.

I joined Habitat for Humanity and wil fundraise at a football game soon

I also joined a group called ICC--I Can at Cal

The goal of the group is to promote UC Berkeley to low income minority students. We are going to have pen pals and we are going to go local high schoos and promote the university.

Well, I think I have written too much--I have to read about Native Americans and their view of the world
