Summary: Hah. Well, the reason why Koki did not choose Yuichi's gift on his birthday.
A/N: So, some of us have been a little depressed that Koki chose Kame’s meat. And I decided to post something to make us a little happy. WAHAHA. I wanted to write something fluffy, but it turned something into romance? Or do I not know how to sort out what genre am I writing? LOL whatever, as long as there’s some TaNakamaru lovin~ haha.
Two weeks have passed since the dressing room have been awkward. It was always refreshing to go in there with people talking and playing around. But something is really wrong, the person who usually initiates the talking and playing has been quiet for some time. The other members tried to ask him if something is wrong, but he’ll just answer them with a little smile and always use bathroom as an excuse or he’ll even pretend that someone called him though his phone did not ring at all. So, then, they decided to wait until the guy talks about it, but two weeks is already long. What is wrong with their eldest member?
“Ohayou!” Kame greeted as he just arrived. Koki and Ueda were sitting quietly on the couch. And Kame noticed the gloomy aura in the room, except for Taguchi who is in his own world with his play station. “So, where is he?” He sat at the chair in front of the table where his make-up and stuffs are placed.
“Bathroom.” Ueda answered.
“Tsk. Koki, are you sure you didn’t do anything wrong?” Ueda turned to their rapper with fierce eyes. He has known Yuichi for a long time, and he knew that something is really wrong. He just doesn’t know how to make the Yuichi say it.
Their beatboxer would always say what was on his mind. But, what is there to hide from them now? They were all getting worried. But, they fell silent when they saw Yuichi getting in. Awkward. It doesn’t seem like he noticed the people around. He didn’t greet anyone. It wasn’t like him at all.
They checked their time and it was time for their rehearsal. They decided to forget about it at the moment and continue the day with work.
The day went on and it felt ages. They never felt bored working like that before. Because this time, they had to continue to work only. There were no skits and things for them to do when they were on breaks, no conversations, nothing at all. It felt like you were working as someone new in the company. This kind of things isn’t fun at all. Oh dearest, when will Yuichi turn back to his usual self?
“Sore, ja!” Kame, Taguchi and Ueda left after their rehearsals.
Only Koki and Yuichi are left in the dressing room. Alone. Koki wondered if Yuichi would finally tell what’s bothering him. They are best friends, right? Nah. He’ll admit it, they are lovers after all, right? He pretended that he was still fixing his things, and when he heard Yuichi banged the locker shut, Koki stood up and follow Yuichi getting out.
Koki followed Yuichi. The latter seemed to be ignoring him, but he didn’t mind. It’s been like that since two weeks. And Koki knew Yuichi. It will only irritate him if someone is forcing something on him. So, at times like these, he would usually just wait, though he probably knows the reason behind this thing. But, if Yuichi is really mad about the meat issue, he has a reason for it. Yes. A good reason.
They arrived at Yuichi’s house, and they still didn’t talk to each other. He turned the key in to his doorknob. Koki wondered what he should do. Yuichi still hasn’t spoken, so it’s not good to force him more. Surprisingly, Yuichi opened the door fully while he headed first in. Koki hesitantly walked in, but whatever, he’ll go in. He missed his lover’s place.
When he entered, he was greeted by the doggies. “Uwa... Mister, Choco, I missed you.” He said as he pat their heads both. He then decided to take them both and sat on the couch and he played with them. And he noticed Yuichi getting out of the kitchen with beers.
Yuichi placed one beer on the table. He opened his and took a sudden gulp. “Ahh...” He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Meanwhile Koki was staring at him; he thought that it looked so sexy. Shit. Why did Yuichi have to do that? He put the dogs down and drank his beer.
“So, why’d you follow me?” Yuichi asked as he leaned at the wall.
“I thought of asking you what’s been bothering you...” Koki muttered softly. He didn’t know how it happened, but Yuichi totally looked intimidating that time. The latter’s eyes locked on him. What the hell? The past two weeks, he has been ignoring him and now he’s giving his full attention to him. He doesn’t really know what the older is really thinking about now. He couldn’t help, but feel conscious of his actions.
“Do you really want me to say it, or are you going to admit it yourself?” Yuichi said coldly. Yep, it has to be about it.
“Right... So, it really is about Kame’s meat, right?” Koki smiled shyly at him while he was scratching his head lightly.
Yuichi only turned quiet at that and he drank the remaining amount of beer in his can. He turned to the trash can somewhere beside him, and threw the emptied can.
“I wonder why you didn’t choose mine when I actually thought about it for so long.” Yuichi as his back was all Koki could see. But Koki could hear the sadness from it. Koki stood up and walked to him. “Don’t you dare try to embrace from behind!” He warned.
Oops. Yuichi knew him too well.
“Go back to the couch.” Yuichi said with a frightening tone, and Koki couldn’t do anything, but obey.
“Anou... Yuichi. The truth is...” Koki started to talk.
“...you didn’t like my gift? You didn’t think of the trouble I had just to make you like my gift?” Yuichi said coldly.
“Mou~ it’s not like you chose mine on your birthday.” Koki pouted.
“At least I thought about choosing between yours and Ueda’s.” Yuichi defended. “Not like you who unhesitantly chose the freakin’ meat.” Yuichi burst out.
“Fine. Okay. Calm down. It’s true that among those gifts, meat was the one I liked the most...” Yuichi flinched at what Koki said.
“Fiiiiiine! I won’t give you any gifts from now on. And sorry that I don’t really know about what my boyfriend really likes.” Yuichi shouted.
“Will you let me finish first?” Koki asked him with an annoyed tone. Seriously, Yuichi doesn’t have to feel this way. Koki took the chance while Yuichi was already quiet. “I mean it’s okay if you don’t really give me anything, since I have already received the best gift from you.” Koki pointed.
Yuichi looked at who was Koki was pointing to. Yes, Koki is pointing at him. “Ha? I thought meat was the best?” He was getting confused now and he is not in the mood to analyze more.
“Sheesh! Do you really think that I’ll post in my manual something like, ‘Even with these gifts, the love from Yuichi is still the best’ in there?” It was now his turn to snap out. “Of course Johnny would kill both of us if he knew. And besides, we both love our work, right? As idols.” He finally calmed down and walked to Yuichi. He grabbed his hand and took him to sit with him on the couch.
“S-sor-rry.” Yuichi stuttered when he was lead to the couch.
Koki turned Yuichi’s face to him and placed a kiss on his lips. “No matter what I may receive from other people, it will be nothing compared to the love you’re giving me.”
Yuichi suddenly smirked. “Tsk. Look how vain you sound right now.”
“It isn’t vanity when it’s true, right?” Koki grinned.
“Maa... whatever. Let’s forget about this. But mou, if you’ve chosen me, I should have gotten the one point.” Yuichi disappointingly said.
“Tss. So, you were after that prize to whoever wins at that game, ha.”
“I loooooove you~” With that said, Koki could already smile and they shared the rest of night together.
The next day, Ueda and Kame were happy that the mood in the room has finally turned back. They saw Yuichi and Koki talking at the couch together with voices that can be heard from the entrance of the jimusho.
“Ohayou!” Yuichi greeted when he saw the other two standing by the door.
“I guess I’m forgiven already, ne?” Kame said as he put a hand on Yuichi’s shoulder.
“Eh?”
“It was too risky, but this guy here was so desperate. He told me beforehand to buy him meat for his birthday and he’ll choose it as a winner, and by that he can make you jealous. And he said something like he’ll show you for not choosing his present on your birthday.” While Kame was explaining everything to Yuichi, one person slowly tiptoed out of the room.
“TANAKA KOKI!”
With that, the person called ran for his life. “Mou Kame! You really have a big mouth.”
