A/N: The fic is taken from this song of FT Island, I just totally fell in love with it the first time I heard it. And here, me is sharing this… I hope you’d listen to the song, too. :D hihi
“I wonder if he’s still awake. It’s already past midnight.” Koki muttered to himself as he opened the door to his apartment. When he entered, it was already dark at the living room. He sighed. It was a sign that maybe his lover is already is asleep. His lover was probably tired after work. “I guess it can’t be helped.” He took off his shoes and went to the room.
“Yuichi?” He called, hoping that his lover was still awake. He peeked inside and saw his lover’s back showing. He tiptoed and went to see if Yuichi was really sleeping. “Yuichi…” he called softly again.
However, Yuichi was already really asleep. He seemed to be dreaming of something good, with the smile on his face. And instead of getting depressed because Koki couldn’t hang out with his lover for the night, with the smile he saw, the sadness he felt drifted away. He hears his lover breathing soundly; it actually made Koki calm inside. He was happy to see Yuichi like that. A few minutes of staring more and he decided to take a shower.
After he did, he changed into his sleeping clothes and lay next to Yuichi. He always felt that the place beside Yuichi is the most peaceful place that he could have found. Even if he thought that something is bothering him, with Yuichi, he was always calm. No matter how much of a big problem is it, with Yuichi’s touch or pat, he will forget them all. Like, he remembered when people were against of their relationship, he was so pathetic that time, but when Yuichi sat beside him and comforted him, he managed to smile and work out the situation. How he wishes he can stay beside him lying like that night forever. He wants Yuichi forever, for eternity.
He yawned. He was already sleepy, he hugged Yuichi and soon, he dozed off.
Koki woke up when the alarm clock rang. How come it rang when it was a Sunday? He opened his eyes, and he saw a smiling Yuichi.
“Good morning!” Yuichi greeted him happily.
And again, just with Yuichi’s smile, the irritation he felt with the alarm clock was all forgotten. How could he possibly do that? Koki asked to himself. And he smiled at Yuichi and kissed his forehead.
He looked at the window, the sun was shining brightly. He smiled and he thought that Yuichi was like the sun. Yuichi always knows how to make him feel warm and loved inside. It was like how a student always impatiently waits for the summer and wanting to feel the summer breeze. And for Koki, summer breezes are moments that should always be treasured and seized, because few months after, it will be gone again.
He was soon distracted when he saw Yuichi breathed so soundly again. He’s really tired, I guess. Koki thought. He decided to let him rest some more and he caressed his face. He is happy at the thought that when he’s tired, Yuichi would always lift his spirits up. He hopes that Yuichi feels the same way for him. But no matter what the other feels towards him, he just can’t help stop loving him. He never knew what his life would be like without Yuichi. People around them always worried how could Yuichi loved someone like Koki. Yes, even Koki does ask himself why. Although even without knowing the answer, as long as he is true to what he feels, he will always love Yuichi. And as long as Yuichi is comfortable beside him, he will never let him go. Even with still some people are against them, and chances are small that they’ll be together in the future, or that one day, he might lose Yuichi. He would never ever regret that time he had with him.
“Ne, Yuichi…” he whispered softly. “How come you always smile when you’re asleep?” he asked as he saw another smile revealing on the other’s face. It was so calm and warm. He was glad that he was able to see it, and selfish as he may be, but he doesn’t want anyone to see that smile besides him. He was so happy that he gets to sleep with Yuichi on one bed, and always feel that there’s a good day ahead of him, because he knows that when he gets home, the person he loves will always be on the same bed. “I wonder what is inside your dreams.” Yuichi was the only person that Koki thought who sleeps peacefully like that. Koki hoped that he was the one that Yuichi’s dreaming of… Koki twitched at the thought. What if it was another person? His eyes furrowed.
“Koki?” Yuichi spoke while his eyes were still closed.
Koki shakes off his thoughts away. “Hm?”
“… Will you be beside me forever?”
Koki was shocked at the sudden question. He couldn’t answer at first, he was just staring at Yuichi until he saw him pouting, but eyes are still closed. Maybe he didn’t want to see how Koki looks like when he asked the question.
“Yuichi…” Koki cupped his face. “You know I’ve always wanted to meet the only person that I needed and wanted the most. I needed and wanted that someone to accept me for who I am. And I am happy that that person is lying here in front of me.”
Yuichi slowly opened his eyes. “Really?” Yuichi was beaming when he saw Koki staring so lovingly at him.
Koki nodded.
Yuichi went closer to Koki and hugged him tightly. Koki was so happy with the warmth he felt with the hug. It was so loving and caring. He doesn’t want Yuichi to let go, so he returned the hug.
“Don’t let go…” Koki told Yuichi.
“Eh? Are you okay?” Yuichi asked uneasily. He thought that maybe he made Koki feel uncomfortable.
“Just hold me tight, I am fine. Don’t worry.” Koki said and Yuichi obliged. He hugged him closer.
“Ne. Koki…” Yuichi said as they were both still embracing each other.
“Hm?”
“I dreamed about you.”
Koki finally let go slowly and he looked at Yuichi. Is that why he’s smiling when he was asleep? He thought gladly.
“You know what you told me?”
“What?”
Yuichi blushed at the sudden response. “… That I will always be yours.”
Koki smiled and hugged him again. “I have that dream every night, too… dreaming that you will always be mine.”
Yuichi pulled him softly. “You don’t have to dream about it, I’m yours.”
A/N: Lately, I’ve been totally addicted with the Korean boy band, but that doesn’t mean that I already forgot about my ichiban-est OTP! Haha they’re in my heart always and forever LOL and yeah, this song is just amazing. :D I know, the student part right there was just too corny, but I just had to add the summer breeze part *bricked* and OMG! I am just so happy how it turned out. And now, I can’t wait for the MYOJO scans. TaNakaMaru love is totally in the air~!!!!! And I would like to congratulate aoi_tenshi05 for finishing her Falling for my Aniki fic *throws confetti* this fic is for you, and for my other TN-mates as well. :D let’s keep the loving going. LOL I missed writing. Soon, it’s exams and after that, finally, VACATION!!!!!!!!!! Hahahaha yeah, I should end this so-called author’s note now, because the author is totally talking about nonsense now. LOL hai~ spread more TN LOVE~!!!!
