A red-faced cowboy was found hanging from a fence with his pants down on the weekend, a victim of mixing too much alcohol with too much chain link.
According to Regina Police, the unidentified man, fortified by more than a few drinks, tried to climb over a 2 1/2 meter-high fence as he was leaving an agriculture festival late Saturday night.
When he was just about over the top his pant leg got caught, leaving him dangling upside down.
When nobody came to his aid, despite his pleas for help, he reached for his cellphone, which according to the laws of gravity fell out of his pocket onto the ground.
And as luck would have it, the phone was just out of reach.
Desperate to free himself, the man unzipped his pants so he could slide out of his predicament.
But his feet were trapped above his head and he could only wiggle his blue jeans down to his knees.
Eventually, he managed to wiggle enough to reach the keypad on his phone and dial 911.
A little disoriented, the man was unable to tell police his exact location and sent patrol officers in the wrong direction.
But with some good detective work the officers were eventually able to find the poor guy, still hanging upside down, pants wrapped around his knees.
"He was pretty cold and really embarrassed," said Staff Sgt. Rob Dean trying to contain his laughter.
