Merry Christmas. Season's Greetings~
(1) Was just clicking around iTunes when I found a song that really fit the relaxed, and subtly festive mood that I'm getting this year.
You know, the first ending theme of LoGH gives off a holiday-ish feel... As does the second. The third ending theme seems more of a "travelling holiday", while the fourth ... has a "looking back at past while still walking along" feel. I'm not looking at lyrics, though.
(2) One duct tape of crossovers...
...would have to be Doctor Who. This is one series that could truly interact with any other series in a fly-by-ish, no-strings-attached fashion and get away with it. Of course, it'd be better if you could find some strong common elements between the series you're crossing over... Like, say, the use of music to manipulate emotions and see visions in a magical way to bridge the gap between Violinist of Hamelin (the Animation) and Song of the Beast (by Carol Berg). For Doctor Who, you don't really have to do that.
(3) A quote from The Crown in Canada, by Frank MacKinnon:
"The Crown is therefore a means of meeting a difficulty, so evident in history and contemporary politics throughout the world, of preventing officials at the summit of government from becoming too powerful, irresponsible, and perhaps immovable.
Does this mean that there is no single person in the entire structure of government who actually possesses and wields at his own discretion the executive powers of state? It means exactly this."
I found that humourous. I'm shaking my head at myself.
