I think I managed to invent a new kind of knitting:
Knitting with pens!
This morning I found this wonderfully soft but kinda hard to use wool I had bought a few months back and decided to knit a scarf from it.
Problem: My thickest needles are size 4 and the wool needs needles size 6+.
Solution: I wanted to get really wide stitches, so I decided to use two Edding pens.
It actually works pretty well if you've figured out how to do it (the beginning might be a bit difficult since the pens don't have pointy ends...)
Here's what I've got so far:
The wool is a nice dark green (You can't really see it on the pic. My stupid cam is broken so I had to use my webcam x.X)
Also, while I was knitting in our public transport three British (?) businessmen were talking about me:
"Is she using pens?" "No way, that must be needles!"
Me: "Um. Yup, that are pens." *grin*
They: "Oh. Did your mum teach you this?"
Me: "Err... no. I learned it from the Internet o.O"
Before that one of them decided to recite some lyrics of the Hokey Pokey... IMMD
