Ohno Satoshi x Ninomiya Kazunari
Vol.149 「Arashi and Tropical Fish」
This time, at studio we had some beautiful fish waiting for Ohno (大野) and Ninomiya (二宮). The photoshooting required these two to deal with “tropical fish” following the theme chosen by Sakurai, that is “Looking forward to refreshing visual!”. So they did stuff like viewing a big aquarium filled with colorful tropical-fish or feeding gold fish in a retro bowl. After feeling relieved in such a relaxing time, they shared stories related to living things and nature.
There are many people that take comfort from seeing freely-swimming fish
二宮: The tropical fish are beautiful. It’s my first time looking at them carefully. It’s so refreshing.
大野: Me too. I go fishing and see many fish quite fish but seeing aquarium fish is a different thing, I suppose.
二宮: (looks at the fish tank) I wonder if I can tell apart the same-type of fish if I take care of them in this way (laughs)?
大野: Don’t you think you’ll be able to if you see them daily? You’ll be saying stuff like “oh, you’re big, now♪” (laughs). It seems interesting as well to arrange the position of driftwood and water plant in the fish tank.
二宮: we definitely enjoy the visual part of it, right.. Ohno-san, what is your favourite fish?
大野: I can’t just settle into one (decisively).
二宮: what a cool answer (laughs)!
大野: there’s so many type like “fish I would like to fish”, “ fish I would like to see”, that’s why I can’t just pick one. But in the end, I think I would choose the “delicious fish” (laughs).
二宮: I get that. Meaning that you do fishing so that you can eat. I was such an indoor person ever since I was a little, so I don’t think I have such memories of dealing with living things and nature. I did limited thing like scooping the gold fish during festival. And I don’t think stuff like school-trip or outdoors-school can be called as real “playing outside”.
大野: I went to catch crayfish at the river. I saw my grandpa caught it barehand, then I tried to emulate him and I made it.
二宮: So many things are relevant to fishing, right...
大野: That’s for sure. I remember I took care not only crayfish but also many others like carps and turtles. Not to mention catching insects like giant beetles or cicadas. I loved doing it so much at that time.
二宮: meanwhile, I’ll forever dislike insects. I might say it’s not my thing from now on (laughs).
大野: I won’t touch it either for now (laughs). I’ve changed ever since became a grown-up (earnestly saying).
二宮: But, Ohno-san, you’ve been doing solo-camping for a recent tv-show, right..
大野: Yes, that’s why I think I want to do it as well. I’ll do fishing in the morning then eat it for dinner. I’m excited just to think about it (grins). I”ll try camping near the river or sea, because I’m too scared of bears if I get to mountains.
