large family gatherings
I know nothing about the large family gathering. Growing up my family consisted of my mother, father and brother. We had a family gathering every evening so getting together for the holidays meant we ate different food not much else. Many of my friends had large families with aunts, uncles and cousins that all got together over the holiday. I was never jealous because nobody ever seemed enthusiastic about these gatherings. The large family gathering is just another highly overrated thing that never lives up expectations. I have two aunts that I have not seen in years. One of these years I will send them a card to let them know I am still around.
