...Hey, does anybody know how to get all the edible stuff out of a dead thing? I've been picking some stuff out of the monsters I shoot, but I think most of it's going to waste because I don't know what's safe and what's not.

...Huh? I don't care how it tastes or smells for now, I just want to make sure it's safe to eat. I can work on the taste after it's safe. I don't know which parts are safe to eat even when cooked, that's the problem.

Really no way to tell unless something eats it. Maybe you should kill another and leave it out. See which parts are eaten by the local wildlife.
