(no subject)
So our time in KY was glorious, albiet much too short. Much love to Billy and Vino for letting us crash with them, feeding us, and using all their hot water. There's a standing invitation for you two - anytime, anywhere - our door is always open for you. Seeing all my friends, especially in NKY was awesome!!!! As was hanging with my brother and seeing my whole family. I wish we still lived there.
I've been in a bit of a funk ever since. But things are better. The kids are both out of school for the summer. We moved all their beds and dressers out of the living room (long story) into their playroom which is now their bedroom - gotta make room for the baby. I said fuck it and registered for baby stuff at Target. Hmmm, what else ..... Oh yeah, we are buying a *gulp* minivan. We realized while driving my parents van that smooshing 3 kids in car seats in the back of our SUV was not quite going to work. So we're looking around and will probably buy one soon. We already decided on a certain brand, it's now just finding what we can afford. What else ...
I have my ultrasound tomorrow. Which will be fun but the military can't make anything easy. I have to go to the radiology dept and have it done, my OB will not be performing it. Hopefully they will remember to give me a picture of the baby, and NOT blurt out the sex because we are not interested in finding out. Last night I went through a bunch of baby names online and wrote them down. And yes, this is just the beginning of chhosing a name. We have absolutely no idea. I'm almost 2/3 through my pregnancy, so now's a good time to start thinking. Suggestions?
As for this summer, I was going to take 2 classes, one was at night and one during the day. Well the one during the day meant I had to put the kids somewhere for 3 weeks, so I signed them up for camp at the JCC. Not only was I not thrilled with sending them there for camp (it's kindof sucky) but it is EXPENSIVE! So after realizing we need a van, I said fuck it and cancelled my day class and then cancelled camp. So the money we'll be getting back from the camp will more than pay for my summer class. And I'll have more leisure time because I won't be spending it on school. The kids are going to camp at the Chabad house, but they went to Chabad camp in VA last summer and had a blast, so I have no doubt it will be just as fun here.
O'Bryen's friend will be spending the night on Sat, good times. We'll let them watch movies and eat popcorn and have a camp on the floor. I can't wait to see X-3. We just bought the first 2 on DVD last week - there was so much I had forgotten. Love me some comic book movies ... and Hugh Jackman, can't forget Hugh Jackman ;-) . Which brings me to a question I've been pondering - if you could have mutant powers, what would they be (and being left handed doesn't count Vanessa) ?
