Not quite so bad as I used to be.

I hardly check LJ much these days. I tend to favor actual email and phone calls or lurk on FB - if you call that socializing.

Still here. Still searching for a job. I have some leads and an interview on Friday. It will be weird to work full time again after a year.

Since when did I become such a grumpy old man over technology? I used to be such a technophile. I think a big part of it is just refusing to keep up with buying new crap that does exactly what my old crap does. I got an email about free iTouch with the purchase of a Mac. That'd be nice since im looking to buy a Mac anyway. So I look up the iTouch: its an iPod...I have an iPod. It plays movies...movies I have to download first. The iTouch looks more like a straight-to-ebay item.

I must admit, there is one piece of technology coming up that does have my interest. The Palm Pre. It's a Palm Pilot (I have been carrying a palm for 8 years) and phone on the Sprint PCS service (which i have been a member for over 9 years). I can directly port my phone and Palm data to the Pre, and carry one device. It looks stylishly portable as well. The thing is, both my phone and palm work perfectly fine right now. I do anticipate my phone battery dieing soon.

In the meantime you can all laugh at the following audition notice I got in my email today. FAIL!

Synopsis
A young man sets up a meeting with his long time girlfriend to finally propose, but unbeknown to him, she decides to break up with him on the same day. She thinks that he has setup their meeting to break up with her, so she writes him a letter to end their relationship. This film is about how timing can mean everything in a relationship and how relationships respond and grow in the strangest ways.

Project Notes
This project will be shot on a digital still-frame camera for the purpose of creating Stop Motion. There is no dialogue, but actors will need to be able to convey a wide variety of emotions through facial expressions and body language.

Audition Note
Auditions will be phone auditions.
