Cuddy Deserves Better: One Viewer's Thoughts on 'Insensitive'
(or, How Ijemanja Lost Her Huddy)
Seriously, House writers?
After all the crap she's gone through lately, you couldn't even let her have ONE night of nice, uncomplicated sex with a nice, uncomplicated man whom she liked and who liked her?
...Seriously?
Basically, what I took from this episode (and most of season three) is that:
1. Cuddy's life is a big pile of crap from which there is no reprieve.
2. The only time she's ever happy is when she's with House.
3. House, who lately seems to spend most of his time somewhere between outright dismissal of (if not actual disdain for) Cuddy, or, on rare occasions, deigns to show her the barest amount of grudging respect.
4. She's never actually going to GET House. (Why? See above, re: disdain.)
5. Which brings us back to Cuddy, alone and miserable forever.
Conclusion: The prospect of House/Cuddy now makes me want to hurt someone. A lot.
Otherwise? This was a fairly enjoyable episode. Really, I liked it. *stabs something*
*takes a deep cleansing breath*
And now I've got that out of my system, it's possible I may be writing fic to rectify this situation.
