I’m madly in love with this guy…
Even though many people said that he’s handsome (and, that’s absolutely right), but that’s not the only one reason why I adore him.
Who is he?
Ryosuke Yamada, (I’ll call him Ryosuke) was born in Tokyo, May 9, 1993 (he is 18 years old now). He wanted to become one of the Johnny’s after his mother take him to Kinki Kids concert when he was young. His mother then sent an application to Johnny Jimusho, and after passing selection after selection, Ryosuke was accepted in 2005 (with Hey! Say! Jump’s Ryutaro Morimoto). In this agency, Ryosuke became the member of temporary group Kitty Jr, and Johnny Jr.
On July 2006, he got his first role in a TV Drama Tantei Gakuen Q special, as Ryu Amakusa. One years later, on April 2007, he was chosen to be a member of the temporary unit Hey! Say! 7 (with Hey! Say! Jump’s Daiki Arioka, Yuya Takaki, Yuto Nakajima, and Yuri Chinen), which made his CD debut on August 1. Between July and September of 2007, Tantei Gakuen Q became a TV drama series and Ryosuke (again) played as the mysterious Amakusa Ryu (the same role he did in the Special that aired in 2006).
He began performing as a member of Hey! Say! JUMP from September 24, 2007.
From January to March 2008, he has his second drama series One-Pound Gospel, as Mukoda Katsumi (with Kazuya Kamenashi (KAT-TUN) and Hey! Say! JUMP member Yuri Chinen who appeared in the third episode). On the same year, on April 12 with Hey! Say! JUMP members Yuto Nakajima, Yuri Chinen and Daiki Arioka he got a role in the drama, Sensei wa erai! Then,on June 14, he played Furuhata Ninzaburo in the drama Furuhata Chuugakusei. In October 2008, he was in the drama series Scrap Teacher: Kyoushi Saisei as Takasugi Toichi, along with Hey! Say! JUMP members that appeared with him in Sensei wa erai!. On August 29 of that year, he played Yuji Kawai in the drama Niini no koto Wasurenaide and on October 3, 2009, he starred as the lead role in Hidarime Tantei EYE SP playing the role of Ainosuke Tanaka. On January 2010, Hidarime Tantei Eye became a drama series, and he played the same role.
Beside Hey! Say! Jump, Ryosuke also is a member of NYC, with Yuri Chinen and Yuma Nakayama. He is the leader of that group.
What make him special?
Ryosuke has good voice (no wonder Johnny always give him solo part in every Hey! Say! Jump song), his dance move is awesome (and sexy *kyaaaaaaa!!!!>_<) , his acting is good too (he played as lead role in most of his dorama), he is good in cooking (proved in some reality shows), and don’t underestimate his ‘small’ body, because he is good in sports too (if you watch some episodes of Yan Yan JUMP, you’ll know what I mean). He even can do some acrobatic movement (even though is not as good as Chinen).
His talent proved by gained some awards. He gained a total of 20 Jr. Awards in 2008 (which beat Jin Akanishi's record of 16 Jr. Awards and still holds this record), won the "Most Popular Actor Award 2007 and 2008" in [Myojo] ( Two years in a row), Won the "Drama Of The Year 2008 Male Actor Award" in [TVnavi], Won the "Best Photo of the Year 2009 Award" in [Myojo] (Two years in a row), Won the "No.1 Favorite Male Celebrity Award" in [Nicola], and Won the "Best Actor Award 2009 and 2010" in [Myojo] (two years in a row). (Those only some of them, there are still many others that I can’t mention =3)
Other side…
Among the HSJ member, Ryosuke is the most expressive one. He never shy to show is feeling, and emotion to the audience. If some guys think that crying in front of many people is uncool, he maybe thinks the opposite. This expressiveness also makes his dance move looks more impressive than the other. Ryosuke always does everything seriously, and his HSJ friends agree about that. But, in ordinary live he not always look serious as his character on dorama, he sometimes show his silly and funny side(yeah, yeah, he always do some silly things in making or some reality shows ^_^).
Ryosuke is a ‘strawberry otaku’. He likes strawberry very much. He can eat a lot of strawberries at once. That’s why some fans call him ‘the ichigo (strawberry) prince’.
Is very easy to notice him in Hey! Say! Jump (HSJ)’s performance. Yup! It’s because he always placed as the center of the group. (It is maybe because he is short?. Yes, he is the second shortest member of HSJ after Yuri Chinen . *But don’t worry Ryo chan, your height is doesn’t matter for me.. =3)
