Does anyone like writing in pen? Personally, I can't stand it. Last semester I had a class where I was forced to write in pen everyday, drove me nuts. And now here's another class. Creative Writing. Yea, I think I'm gonna have to get over this and not be stubborn or else this class is going to go downhill fast.
So, Solo and Ensamble yesterday. The high school was veeery cold, so every event I played in, we had to do oober good tuning haha. Solo went great, all the cello solos were fabulous; most of us sat in for eachother's pieces, because we're just super cellos like that. :D If nothing else went well that day, I wanted the quartet to go as well as it could - and I think our playing surpassed my expectation. I was very pleased with all performances. Overall it was kind of bittersweet, being my last time there. :\ Ah well.
And yea, our quartet got a 1+ but got only 2nd alt. Poo! Meh, I'm happy with just that. Really, I was thinking to myself, if I make a big deal out of not going to state, that's really selfish of me because the part I was most looking foward to most of my year with Evergreen has already passed, Swining in Vienna. So, I am content. mmmm Yoga is helping :) haha.
Life in general.. is ok, I guess. I don't like drifting. Especially from someone. And PLU, any day now. The cello guy reeeeally likes me, so at least I have my foot in the door, well, sort of. The point of choosing the cello in the 5th grade is aaaaalmost here.
Oh, and I saw the Seattle Symphony perform the Stravinsky's Firebird Suite this afternoon. They played an arrangment, it was weird. But still an incredibly powerful performance, of course. There's this really huge loud bang to start the 'Inferno Dance' after a very serene movement, and I was just waiting to see my mom freak out. And sure enough, she jumps out of her seat and the program goes flying, and it was just priceless, hehe. ^^;
Mk, I should be done now. Darn it, my speakers keep on making that clicking noise like someone's about to call. But then the phone doesn't do anything, so speakers, stop making me so anticipatory! Is that a word? Well it is now. Darn that 2% latte I had 2 hours ago.. DFLJWEIR well, here goes my attempt at falling asleep now, good night all.
And and and there's this one song at the end of Shall We Dance called 'The Book of Love' by Peter Gabriel, and I tried to purchase it on itunes this evening, but its only sold with the whole freaking soundtrack which is 9.99 BAH no. So if anyone has an mp3 of it.. yousendit.com it pleeeeeease? :) Me give you candy. *nods vigorously*
