yeah I decided not to automatically jump to the superfan elite obscure artist defense on this one and enjoy them for what they are -- covers, tribute, common ground. I feel Tom Waits fans especially would appreciate the songs she picked, why she picked them ..i'm sure she fucking LOVES tom waits too. they're brilliantly written songs and that's all on your boy tom, but she doesn't deserve ridicule from his hipster fans just because she's cool and likes waits's music and turned it into an all-star colorful echoing shoegaze extravaganza
