Whoops
So I fell way behind. Here's the tl;dr:
I met 1 of 3 goals for 2013. I finished with 4/5 hides, 230/250 finds, and 3/3 locations in the world cached.
I did not enjoy my push at the end of Dec 2012, and I vowed not to do it again in 2013. So, when I realized I was falling short of my goal... I accepted that. I just let it go.
Goals for 2014? I'm not sure yet. I want to solve more puzzle caches (already did 1 this year!). I want to place more caches, and I want them to be good ones like the bird house. But I don't have specifics or numbers for these.
