I find myself not being incredibly willing to go to this...function in Kyoto, but I am afraid I am obligated to, on several levels. I...am not the most social person in the world, and I know what this can sometimes turn into, and it is not an atmosphere which I enjoy. However, I will endeavor to do my family proud, and not leave the second it is socially permissible.
If nothing else, I know the food will be tolerable, as will the punch bowl.
