Livejournal 2008-2010 (that's me about age 20-22)
It was a short but intense time. I have never loved an anime quite so much as I loved Prince of Tennis. But why the past tense. I still love it. Fiercely.
Although I consumed plenty of anime back in the days (oh to be a student again - no job, no responsibilities, morning classes were optional and so was sleep) - Dragon Ball, Hikaru no Go, Evangelion, Oofuri - none of them ever drove me to interact with the general fandom online. Tenipuri was the first and only anime that did that. Because I found a community on livejournal that was hilarious and ON CRACK and I thought, these guys are so cool, I want to be friends with them, I want to be part of this! I want them laugh at MY stupid tennis jokes!
And the rest is history.
Looking back at my old entries, I still find some of them genuinely funny. Most, though, make me cringe. Which is what motivated me to write this entry in the first place: please treat this journal as a historic document. I'd like to believe I've grown up quite a bit since then and have developed a, uh, more refined sense of humour.
I shall leave this livejournal here as it is as a tomb to my (not quite) teenage self. May it serve as a warning to nobody. And let it be known that I regret nothing!
If you'd like to reminisce over old times or simply discuss some tennis civilly (aha), please visit me on Tumblr
@arlzuteni .
If we've ever interacted in any way on lj, or even if we've not, I would LOVE to hear from you!
Love, Anna
