I haven't done a poll in forever, and all this talk of who should play the new Robin Hood in Ridley's Nottingham got me to thinking. So I'm opening this up to everyone. Play along...if you dare LOL

I have fond memories of Robin and Marian, especially because I loved Robert Shaw, who played the Sheriff. He wasn't evil, but pragmatic, and had ruled his city well while Robin was away on crusade. The final broadsword battle between the two of them was brutal, and Robin really won by chance - then crowed (sorry) about it as though he thought he had clearly won. I remember that irritated me at the time. :-)

I think James MCavoy would be a good dhice for Robin, becase he is cheeky and has that certain Robin look about him.

All right -- here's where we stand as of this morning, June 27th (First off...it's actually June 27th??? *gasp* LOL).

Another person without a computer (my mom) votes for Gerard Butler, although she said she could definitely see Daniel Craig as well, but shook her head and said "Not this time" on Sean Bean.

So that's 6 for Gerard Butler.
