I wasn't sure how many saw this posted on the Yahoo groups, but someone sent the link and text to me, and I had to made sure the word got out. This is fantastic. And I love it that it (hopefully) came from someone that isn't a fan. *g* Just someone who recognizes what sounds to be a very good flick. I think you're right. I know I've purchased soundtracks (or scores) expecting to hear a piece or two that I really liked, only to find that it wasn't available...and was later released on some "additional" CD. *sigh* I keep thinking that on the 1989 Batman with Keaton and Nicholson, there were two CD releases. One had nothing but Prince's original music written for and inspired by the movie. The other had the orchestral score by Danny Elfman.

It's "weird" how they do this stuff with soundtrack releases. I just downloaded Tyler Bates' 300 and Philip Glass' The Illusionist soundtracks from i-Tunes. I noticed, however, on 300 that there were two editions, and the only difference I could see was that one had an extra track that may have been over the end titles. And if you wanted that one, you had to purchase the album. The other version had everything in the movie...but that final track. Since I was using some i-Tunes credits thanks to my Avis car rentals (5 free songs with every rental), and you can't buy an album with those, even if you have enough credits, I went with the one missing the final track, which is fine with me.

I also love the CD's that have CLEAN and EXPLICIT *g* When my mom asked me to download James Blunt's You're Beautiful for her, I had to ask which version she wanted....She said "BOTH!" LOL
