Recently I have become so infuriated at this lame-duck esq. government almost waiting for the demise of it's king so that the Scottish barbarian will come to the fore, crushing and cleaving at every single voice of reason that stands in the Labour party's way.
Yes rape is wrong, evil and malicious. This is once again however, the wrong way to go about solving a problem...
This solution will lead to an increase in deadly rape attacks as rapists will not want the girl to give evidence - she can't if she is in a coma, was unconscious at the time or is dead.
Secondly we get to the issue of truth-telling or even remembering correctly. It will make even more of a mockery of the justice system which may become just like the Jerry Springer show (we ARE the United Counties of Engerland). I can see no way of being able to distinguish between a man who has said that the woman DID give consent and the woman who said that she DIDN'T - surely the evidence is the salient point. People lie - otherwise we wouldn't need trials or evidence.
So why all of a sudden do they think that they can undo tens of thousands of years of cunning, manipulative and evil people when evolution hasn't yet...?
Oh yeah, we were created by God, in his image, apparantly... Bastard.
