So, my pal shar_katye is trying to get to Viva Las Vegas. And since I think she's a) pretty fucking hot and b) exceptionally talented, I think y'all should go vote for her.

In this post, I talked about how I randomly ended up naming a relatively obscure band during an icebreaker despite my intense efforts to be middle of the road. Today, in a pretty amusing moment, I had several people ask me about that same band. So that was pretty rad.
Third:
I have virtually no webbernet access during the day. So if you email me and I don't respond with my usual rapidity, please don't take it personal like - it's 'cos I can't get to my emails at all. Likewise, I will be doing almost all of my LJ/ MySpacing in the evenings pretty quick-like, so if I comment [even] less than usual, again, it's not you, it's me.

Crap, I'm officially a nerdy grown-up. I made POT ROAST for dinner last night.

Woot! I am getting a Swiffer thingo thru FreeCyle! *w00t* This pleases me 'cos the lady I'm getting it from has REUSEABLE PADS for it that she's giving me too! YAY! I've had my eye on this thing for a while 'cos of the critters and the resultant hardwood-floor constant disaster - vacuuming with the whole big thing is a complete PITA, sweeping just makes everything fly into the air, and the original swivel-sweeper thing gets too dirty too fast. But I didn't want to BUY one and have it suck and contribute more to the Swiffer-isation of our culture (Don't wanna own cleaning materials? Buy this, use it once, and throw it away!). So this is s00pa-rad. Plus, the reviews for it are pretty OK for what I am gonna be using it, and I'm pretty stoked that I won't have to haul out the big 'cuum and find outlets and freak everyone out 'n all that. So, yay me!
