You know what is grosser than spitty skies and cold weather?
Coming home to a note from the awesome utilities folks telling me that my payment has been denied because it was "damaged" in the mail. Then realising that the "damage" of which they speak actually means that the check and payment stub I had sent was ripped in two and all they got of it was the top part of the check (the part with my name and the check number)...
Which means the part of my check with my account number and signature was absconded with somewhere between hither and yon.
Which, in turn, means that I had to call my freaking bank and close my account and open a new one. Which means YAY! HEADACHES!
So. Now I have to contact all the companies with whom I have autodraft established and re-set all that up. Which... Sucks a lot. 'Cos some of them? I don't have contact info on readily available 'cos I've been on autopay for so long I've archived all the stuff I had for them.
