life...its been good to me
wow, this is probably the longest i have gone without updating. and i have the most random story right now. haha. so i counseled my second week last week and it was a tough cabin. the girls were really catty and extremely boycrazy. i definately learned a lot from them tho, and i think i may have helped a few of them out so that is what is important. and after the kids went home, i realized i not only didn't have a ride back to eau claire, i also didn't have a place to stay for 3-4 nights. YIKES!! so i kinda roamed around asking all of the staff for a ride or place to crash-i felt so foolish!! i finally talked to Ben Blink-probably one of the nicest guys i have ever met-and he said he could give me a ride. yee haw! one problem down, one to go. i then talked to Sarah and Dave Bodeau, and they were like no problem, stay at our house. wow. people are so unbelievably nice and generous! i will never stop being surprised by the amazing things people are willing to do. so now it is the 4th of july and i am recovering from a cold i caught from one of my campers(haha). i am just hanging out alone at the Bodeau's, waiting for Joe to call me. it is so nice to sit in silence! that is definately something i have come to appreciate much more with working at manitou. i do love those kids tho too, even the difficult ones, because each of them contribute something to the week, good or bad and it is always a good lesson in humanity to talk with all of them. on the 6th i go back for a band camp, which i am slightly skeptical about, and also have no idea what my job will entail! haha. well, i guess i will find out! anyway, i hope everyone in duluth is doing great, happy fourth of july! also, if any of you duluth folks read this within the next day or so, you should go over to my house to meet my cousin. she is 15(i think) but is very mature-and is probably also very bored of my family!! she would probably love to meet you guys! i love you all-peace~allie
