50.

So.  Day two of my new vow, eh?  Well, I've partially sealed the "vow" with the new layout. I gave up on attempting to fix the picture on the old one--it was never going to work. ):  I suck at HTML.

So, recently I've been wasting time by occupying myself with Paint-By-Numbers.  They're actually quite fun, if I look past the strange reality that I actually such at art. (But if you look at the finished product from far away, it looks like it's supposed to be how it is.)  And yesturday I started to read HP Fics again, because they certainly occupy time.

I finished unpacking my "apartment" boxes about three hours ago, and I think I've organized the small closet to a decent state.  At least I can see all the clothes I brought and they're not crammed into a box. (Not that I was able to bring a lot of clothes, mind you.)  Now that I mention it, for those who care:

Back in September when my parents decided to move here, they decided to build a house rather than buy it.  Aparently, it's cheaper to live in Vaginaland than it is Chicago.  I believe that here we can build and furnish a house for roughly the same amount we could buy a decent house in Chicago.  So anyway, they picked a lot and they started to build in October-ish.  The time to expect on house building is somewhere around 18 months, but our guy said up to a year.  And so, it's been about eight-nine months since they've started.  They actually have gotten really far and though I'll never admit it to my parents, it's kind of pretty. Anyway.. Our house in Chicago sold in May and they wanted us out by June 26, at which time it closed.  On June 27, my mom, my sister and I packed the car, loaded the dogs, and drove down to Vaginaland, where we would be stuck in my dad's three bedroom apartment for who knows how long.

Now that we have that settled, I do have some semi-good news.. Today whilst my mom and I were out shopping for organization crap, we made a pit-stop at Barnes and Nobles for my sister.  I asked for an application (my first!) and filled it out, and turned it in.  Now I am waiting.  I really hope I do get the job, because I've come to the horrid realization that my car does not like to drive unless you feed him.  So... yes.  I've applied for my first job.  Isn't that even a smidge exciting? I think so.

On the next order of buisness.. (Topic jump much?)  My sister decided to walk to Barnes and Noble to get something (it's only about a half mile from the apartment) while I decided to drive (simly because I can).  I left about ten minutes after she did so that I could drop of my application, and I passed her.  Now, on both the trip to and from, I offered her a ride. (I think she's afraid to be in any car that is controlled by me.)  She refused.  When she got back, she informed us that she got hit by a car.  Obviously, she's okay, but the car isn't.  The car's mirror fell off.  The car in question didn't stop, it just continued on. How's that for irony.  She could've avoided some nasty bruises if she'd gotten over her stubborness to bein a car with me.

As I conclude my (whiny?) rant, I share with the non-existent readers that this apartment has fabulous air conditioning.  Which, much to my dismay, makes it very hard to type without having cold hands.

Anyway...
Much love,
<3 Kayce.

P.S.
The people above us have just begun, what sounds like, a very vigourous love-making session, so any hopes of sleep have left me.  Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
