Second eye surgery went well, just have to go get the patch taken off tomorrow so I can find out how well my vision was corrected. My left eye is 20/20, which is better than they expected with the amount of astigmatism I have. Hopefully the second eye is just as good.
The only bad thing about eye surgery is that it sort of mandates that I do very little and stay confined to the house. Which isn't that different from what I've been doing, but being stuck in the house without the option of leaving is no fun.
Sigh, it's times like these that remind me that while when I'm running around like a crazy person doing too much stuff and I daydream about free-time, I don't actually like freetime all that much. I really like feeling useful and like I'm accomplishing things, but I really struggle to accomplish anything when I don't have a schedule to motivate myself. But really I am thankful to have this time to visit with family and friends before moving to DC. Oh, and it is official that I'm going to New Mexico to work as a camp counselor for 4 weeks beginning in August. I've heard it's absolutely gorgeous out there and I'll get to learn how to farm and to be outdoorsy, so I'm pretty stoked about it. And it will help me out a lot financially, so that's also sweet.
In other things that are exciting, on Saturday I'm going to the wedding of two people I went to highschool with, Drew Wickstandt and Tiffany Tousa. AND as Bob's date. While I was really only friendly acquaintances with both the bride and groom, it should be fun and I'm looking forward to seeing Bob. I think it may be almost two years since I've seen him, I honestly can't remember the last time. And maybe I'll run into other people from high school. Which could be good or bad, but hopefully they will have an open bar. Most people I went to high school with, I don't talk to for a reason, but maybe I will run into some people that I will be happy to see. Either way, should be interesting.
