So, I finally asked the boy out. I figured: what do I have to lose? Also, inaction is far more boring than action. Boy was it difficult to work myself up to it, though. He said yes, but I'm only fairly sure that he understood that I was asking him out. I'm pretty good at not being neurotic, except when it comes to these kinds of interactions. I might be having a drink with him later, but he's watching the game with some friends. He suggested maybe doing something after the game, but if "he heads out, he will let me know." My interpretation of this is that if someone else invited him to go out after the game, then he'll let me know. Maybe I am being neurotic, but it seems like he might not understand that this is sort of a date. He's definitely a vast improvement over the douchebags that just try to get into my pants, but at least I can tell that the douchebags trying to get into my pants are into me. When it comes to matters of the heart, mystery and subtlety do not appeal to me.
