Oh what a day.
I found out that I got a $2000 scholarship for a sweet unpaid internship (analyzing agricultural policy... it's been too long since I've had a reason to talk about CAFOs ; ). the only down side is that I need to get ACCEPTED before I get the money. Hopefully that works out. Worse case scenario, I will probably end up with an unpaid internship working for the Social Security Administration... : /
So my summer plans are starting to come together... sort of.
In other news, I want to drive to the campus eyecare center and punch EVERYONE in the FACE. FIRST, they put me through a 3 HOUR. EXAM. As I explained before, if they were trying to torture me for state secrets, I would have been talking after hour 2. And THEN I went back yesterday for an hour and a half contact fitting. They had me in 4 diff pairs of contacts, some of which hurt like a motherfucker. But they still made me keep them on to examine them. THEN, they had to order another pair of contacts that ended up not being in stock, so they wanted me to come back on May 14th. Oops I might be in DC by then. Thankfully they're squeezing me in tomorrow, but I am expecting the worst at this point.
School sucks. I want to get in my car and drive to Mexico and drown myself in tequila and cheap beer.
