Fort Collins Cat Rescue Journal #10:

Wow, double digits already!

No news on Flower and Naomi, Flower had come back once yesterday and then they haven't been seen since. :(

On the upside, I finally got an update on one of my former foster kitties. I posted about Mercutio (and his brother Romeo) a few times, but that was months back so I don't expect anybody to remember them! They were 5 months old when we got them from the humane society, where they and their two brothers didn't pass the stupid behavior tests. We worked with the two grey boys for a couple weeks, and Romeo went the first week he was available for adoption. Mercutio was harder to turn around; he was antisocial, fearful of people, and pretty grumpy. We had him for a little over a month, and by the time he was adopted he had come around very well. :) Apparently in his new home he's blossomed even more, because this is what I received yesterday:

"Mercutio is doing really well. He is best friends with our other cat, and he's sitting in my lap as I write this. thanks again!"

I definitely had to try hard not to cry. I'm so happy for this little boy! :D He's probably just under a year old now, and I never expected him to be a lap cat, but kitties certainly surprise us! Fostering is one of my favorite things, and boy do I miss it!

As always, cats that I've posted about that have been adopted since my last update: Freckles and Ferdinand (together!), TikTok, Bellina, Domino, Clive, Kaleidoscope, and Bindi.

Luanne is our lovely spokesmodel today!

She's 6 months old and came from a hoarding house.

Annie being cute.

Baby! :D

Celeste, still posing. ;)

Chester was stalking other cats. He's a bit of a grump. ;)

Cinderella and baby Jasmine are back in the hunt for a forever home after being returned.

Jasmine is still a bit of a chicken kitten, but she's getting better.

Cutie Pie striking a pose.

She's got such intense eyes. :D

I have NO idea what she's doing in this picture!

Playing with Sherlock.

Sherlock has sad eyes.

Elliott sees you. ;)

Pretty boy.

Harris decided he was going to pose for me as well. :)

Such a cutie!

Jinx looking serious.

She looks good against blue. :)

JJ. Still a little shy, but getting better!

Kiara's one of the special featured kitties of the month. Her adoption fee is only $10! This month it was decided to feature the kitties with a little more meat on their bones. ;)

Lily hasn't been feeling well, so she's been moved to the back so the staff can keep a better eye one her.

Little Grey! She's such a sweetie.

Lovebug playing with his ball. He batted it around ALL DAY.

Here's a video of him:

This pretty girl is Mackenzie. Would you believe she's 10 years old!?

She's such a doll. :D

I wanted to get a few different angles of Missy.

Definitely think I succeeded. :)

Monique and Mystique are at the shelter almost every day. Still no luck yet!

Eventually I'll get Nora out of her kennel for some different looking pictures. ;)

I'm in the process of updating all of Troi's pictures since she's been around so long.

This is what she thinks about that! Haha.

Tsunami spread herself out across the entire bench. :) She's also $10 this month!

And last but not least the fluffy monster! This is Yeller Feller. haha.

He's got quite the beard of hair up front! :)

And one of Kiele being a weirdo. :P

Fin!
