Punk isn't dead.

So tonight I went to an amazing punk rock show.
Last Action Zeros
Time Again
and Love Equals Death.

Heres how the night went:
Sigma was supposed to open the show. They are an amazing band from Arizona. If you haven't checked them out you should. They didn't get to play the show because they got lost coming back from their tour and arrived too late. They are good friends of my band so we were all bummed. That made the show run late so we just hung out with Love Equals Death before the show started.
Last Action Zeros were a great band. They are another local punk band. Very talented. They had a long set and I enjoyed every moment of it. They got a lot of people going.
Time Again simply amazed me. They are from California. Definantly an awesome band. They have great stage presence and their bass player is amazing. Their singer sung hunched over with one hand holding his stomach like he was a serious junkie...it was amazing.
Love Equals Death came on. What do you expect...they were amazing. Chons voice was damaged from the night before, but I couldn't notice. For each song he would give me the mic and let me sing a lot of it. Then they played my favortie song,Sonora, which Dom taught me to play on bass. They dedicated it to my band, Resurrection Mary. It was amazing. Then for their last song they pulled me, Amber, Raf, Rob, and Mike on stage to sing. It was awesome. I love those guys so much
Everytime I see them if feels like I am seeing some good friend who I haven't seen in a while. They are such nice guys, like big brothers. I love takling to them. They know so much about life and music. Dom is my idol. It was an amazing night...and to those of you who didn't go you missed out on a great show.
I haven't been to a real punk show in a while, and this one made me realize how much I miss it. Punk is my roots, I started listening to punk and playing punk. All my bass idols are in punk bands. Its such an amazing genre and has such a meaning.
