Another announcement
Sorry about all these annoying announcements i've been making lately on lj, but my mom has me do them. Ok...
ATTENTION ALL ALUMNI!!! I'm posting an email from Cathy Thomas that you should read about the Alumni Benefit Performance for Pentucket FAPAF:
"Hello all!
It's that time of year again - you are probably so busy that you at times forget your own name. It is also time to think about the alumni benefit performance for the Pentucket Fine and Performing Arts Foundation!
For those of you who don't know, the Foundation produced the benefit night for the first time last January. There is a gallery set up in the cafeteria and then an evening of music, theater, and musical theater performances. It's a great way for the Foundation to raise money, and, I must admit, it is a lot of fun for all of the alumni to get together and perform again. And this year, there will be no outside performers - just alumni! It is to be held on Friday, January 6 - the gallery will open around 7, and the performance will start at 8.
If you are an artist, and would like to show pieces in the gallery, you can contact me or Mrs. Hart.
If you are a performer, please contact me. The first thing I need to know is just whether or not you will be available on January 6th, and if you want to participate at all. Then, let me know what you would like to do. Last year, all of the former members of the mallet ensemble got together to do a piece. I would love to do that again, and something similar with former members of the jazz band. I also had an idea for a sort of "bring it back," primarily with theater students, but it could extend to others as well: pairs or groups could perform something they had done at Pentucket before - it's pretty self explanatory.
Summer "Godspell" people: Since that was a Foundation event, they want us to do a selection from it, children and all. I think "We Beseech Thee" would be the best choice, but please let me know if you have other ideas.
If anyone has the contact info for other alums that I seem to be missing, I would love to have it. Or, if you could pass the word onto others, that would be great too.
I'm really excited about doing this again, I hope you are as well.
