Invictus

The true story of the 1995 Rugby world cup played in South Africa. An Afrikaans sport, a black President and a country divided by politics and hatred.

Freeman and Damon played their parts to utter perfection. Their respective accents; the intonations; the gestures - works of art, all of them, and completely believable.

This isn't a story about sport. It's the story of how two men from very different backgrounds brought a nation together.

I cried in parts. It made me very homesick, and very proud to have lived through that time.

Go and see it.
