The world has conditioned us for certain things. In order to be able to revert the brainwashing that has been done to us takes time ,patient and love. How great is God, the one who sits by us lovingly as we buy into the lies of what the world serves us. JPII was such a great leader and one that that was able to speak to each young persons young heart as he told us "Do not be afraid, be the saints of today that God is calling you to be" and yet, even as practicing catholics we are reluctant, cautious and spacious as we weigh the pros and cons and test the waters. What are we so afraid. So many times I hear people say "I just want to get it right"... what is right, giving your self to God in complete unselfishness is what God wants us to do. The right thing to do is to love Christ with nothing holding us back, and that is the right thing to do. As hard as it may seem I am neginning to realize that as long as we love Christ it is the right thing to do whatever it is. If we give our hearts to God, and truly give them to him it will be right, it has to be right.

We just need to stop being the passive generation that our parents lived in. We need to have courage and strength to do what is right and not by in to the lies that were told to us, the lies that the generation before us foolishly believed. I am so hurt by seeing all the people that are living in fear, pain and foolishness. JPII called us to live as real examples of the Gospel, we as believers need to take that call seriously to holiness and live as real examples of the love of Christ. That means not being passive but living as radically in love with Christ.
