Busy weekend.
I haven't been on all weekend really. I think I might have skimmed my friends page for a minute or two but I didn't comment or really pay attention to anything. I'm so exhausted from the whole weekend that I was too tired to do anything.
On Friday my mom rented a car for the weekend since it's her only weekend off and we didn't want to ride the bus everywhere and take a whole day just to get to and from where we wanted to go.
So on Saturday we went out shopping. Conal called me and said he wanted to take one the kids for the entire/most of the day so I said sure. He took Tiernan since I desperately needed a break from him and he's harder to go on long shopping trips with. So he came and picked him up and then we went to Fabricland and I got a ton of patterns for 49 cents. And then I convinced my mom to buy a bunch of fabrics I wanted to make outfits for the kids. I think she spent about $60 on fabrics that were 50% off. I love summer sales.
Then we headed over to Chinook mall and ate lunch. Then I went to the Mom Store. I was expecting a lot more out of it because they carry cloth diapers and stuff but they had no stock in and weren't getting any in for awhile. And the lady was rude to boot. Won't be going back there again before I leave town. Then we went over to Stitches and I got 2 new pairs of jeans for $20. Then stopped at another store and bought my nephew a skate tee for his birthday next week.
After we left the mall and went over to Superstore and my mom bought 18 pieces of clothing for Ava, a couple things for me and a few things for herself for $30. It rocked. Ava got a ton more clothes in the next size which is what she desperately needs. I much prefer their clothes to Walmart stuff. Then after that we picked up Tiernan from Conal and went home for the night.
On Sunday we went to Calaway Park. It was so fun. We had a great time and we were there for about 4 hours. We had to leave to take the kids home for a nap and Conal and his brother were going to the Batman movie so we had to get back in time for that too. I rode on one of those pirate ship rides that goes back and forth and it goes vertical and whatnot. I made Conal go with me because I thought I might freak out. It wasn't too bad. It makes your stomach go in knots when you go down face first. After the kids naps we went to a different Fabricland for more fabrics and then we ended up at the outlet mall. My mom bought me a new bag/purse. It's much bigger than my other one which I'm probably going to regret 'cause I'll just fill it with crap. I love it though. I haven't had a new one for awhile. Then we bought some more clothes at the Sears outlet and I got 3 new pairs of shoes. My mom really spoiled me and my kids this weekend.
Then my mom's BFF and her daughter came over from Cranbrook and we visited for the rest of the night and then went out yesterday with them. We went to IKEA for 3 hours. Not a good idea with 2 small children. Then we ended up at Chinook again at Old Navy but had to leave to take them for naps. We spent most of the afternoon at home lounging because we were so exhausted and then Conal took the kids for 2 hours last night so I could have some peace and sanity and we went and got a few groceries and then came home later than planned. It was an overall really good weekend, except I had to sleep in the same room with my mom since her friend was here and my mom snores so I only got 4 hours of sleep Sunday night and last night I got woken up constantly from her snoring. I'm really tired today but hopefully I will get a nap or at least go to bed early. I'm hoping to do some sewing today as well. Not sure if it will actually happen but hopefully.
