Exhaustion.
Yesterday was a long day. I started out with a ridiculously bad sinus headache. It's so stuffy in this apartment and we even sleep with the balcony door open. ugh. Then I found a tut online for a bag that I wanted to make for my mom. We'll I started it only to realize that when the white thread ran out we had none left. So inspired a trip to Fabricland once my mom came home from work. My mom packs one of those grocery bags that the stores carry to and from work and they're so ugly and boring that I wanted to make her something fun. I got the kids ready so we could leave right when my mom got home so we could be in time to catch the bus since it only runs from that stop every half hour. Tiernan loved riding the bus. I, in fact, hate riding public transit. For so many reasons I don't care to explain.
We got up to Fabricland and since they are having a 50-70% off sale I had to control my spending. I think I spent about $20. My mom spent $50. But she mostly just bought stuff for me to make/use. We got two new dress patterns for Ava. And a ton of white thread. I got a bunch of cute prints for Ava's dresses. I got an awesome blue camo waffle knit and I'm not sure if I will make Tiernan something out of it or use it for myself. I love the blues in it though.
Then we headed to the Kernels in the food court so my mom could get her popcorn fix. My son is addicted as well and I wish she didn't indulge him but she did. Anyways we didn't get home until about 10 PM last night after riding the bus back and stopping to pick up a few groceries for dinner tonight. It takes so much time to get anywhere on the bus. I hate it. Hopefully Conal will take an evening off this week and come watch the kids so my mom and I can go out without them.
It's supposed to be hot here today. I'm hoping it's not so I can get my mom's bag done. Nobody wants to sew in disgusting heat. Anyways I better go and get cleaning so I can get on to making the bag. I'm hoping to get pictures up of the bag and the few outfits I've made for Ava since I got here once I finish the bag.
