If I remember correctly, Oliver basically wished that he hadn't revealed himself as GA to the rest of the world, which happened after Chloe left. Hmmm, so what exactly was the trigger that made him go back to October 2009...maybe it's Zatanna's weird mojo magic that basically meant that if Chloe and him didn't start their thing, then the whole thing in Salvation might not have happened?
That's the only theory I got.
I get that Chloe is being angsty because of her experiences so far, staying ahead of the Squad and working behind the scenes so it's difficult for me to see "how" angst-ridden she really is. She's a planner and thinker but I can see why going back in time and being in Oliver again would make her world tilt. A part of me understands that she feels that not telling Oliver the truth may trigger something, but like Tess said, no one really knows how this will turn out regardless what Chloe tells him. The show doesn't delve into it, but maybe that's why I feel that this interpretation of Chloe is more dramatic than how I view her, if that makes sense.
Actually, Zatanna told him to sleep on it and she'd grant his wish in the morning if it was what he really wanted. She told him that it wouldn't work otherwise.
You're right; Chloe is a planner and she's always ahead of the game but this has completely thrown her off because she has no idea what happened or how to fix it and all she wants is to be with Oliver. But she does know that Tess is right and she can't put off telling him any longer.
It makes sense and Chloe probably is more dramatic here than on the show. But I think we could probably talk for days about all the stuff the show glossed over. I don't think it was easy for Chloe to have been gone all that time. I get that the show only had AM for 4 episodes so they had to make do, but I think it was pretty obvious in Collateral that she was doing what she had to do but she still missed Ollie desperately and I think in a situation like this story where she has a chance to be with him unexpectedly, she's going to hold onto it for dear life.
Thanks so much for your comments! They were really insightful. :)
I agree with this. I can see why Chloe is being 'dramatic.' But oh my gosh... I'm glad Tess is there to set her straight when her emotions are getting the best of her. Excited for more! :)
