Chapter 4: Look so good I might die

“How long do you plan on hiding up here?”

Chloe looked up from her laptop as Lois made her way across the loft. She knew her cousin meant well, but she really wanted to be alone. “I’m not hiding,” she said defensively. “I’m just trying to get some work done.” She shifted her gaze to the computer again hoping Lois would go back downstairs and not ask her any questions.

Lois crossed her arms over her chest and eyed Chloe suspiciously. She’d hardly said a word in the two hours since Lois had arrived at Watchtower. She’d tried giving her cousin space, but Lois didn’t think it was a good idea for her to be alone any longer, especially with all the racket Oliver was making downstairs. He was currently shouting at AC about how he should be more concerned with protecting him than with the video game he was playing. AC responded by turning up the volume on the game.

“What exactly are you working on?” she asked.

“Just some Luthor Corp. files that Tess sent over for me to look into,” Chloe replied. She couldn’t help the frown that settled on her face as she spoke. She’d been doing her best to ignore Oliver and just focus on the documents in front of her so she could pretend it was just a normal day. But every time she saw something with Tess and Oliver’s names listed as the owners of the company, she couldn’t help being reminded of the fact that Oliver and Tess were married in an alternate reality. It didn’t matter how many times she told herself they were obviously different people, it still hurt.

Lois didn’t miss the look on her face, but she decided against commenting. She knew exactly what was bothering her and she’d already texted Tess and warned her that it probably wasn’t a good idea for her to show up at Watchtower until they got Oliver back. “Why don’t you come downstairs for awhile? Bart ran to Chicago to get some deep dish pizza. He should be back any second,” she said.

Chloe started to decline and immediately changed her mind. She couldn’t stop thinking about Ollie and wondering if he was okay in whatever reality he was trapped in. The Oliver who was currently threatening to send all their friends to jail hadn’t exactly been Mr. Cooperative so far, but maybe if she tried harder to make him understand that they weren’t the people he was used to seeing, she could get him to tell her something about where her Oliver was so she would at least know what he was dealing with.

“All right,” Chloe said. She quickly saved what she was working on and closed the laptop. She followed Lois to the stairs just as the double doors opened and Bart rushed into the room carrying six large boxes of pizza.

“Food’s here!” he announced as he set them down on the table. He tossed a slice onto a plate and offered it to Oliver. “Hungry?” he asked.

Oliver scowled, but he reached out as best he could with the rope tied around him for the plate. Bart started to hand it to him and Oliver knocked it to the floor. Bart’s mouth dropped open and as he bent down to pick up the food, Oliver’s fingers closed around the crossbow that was holstered to his leg. He shifted, releasing an arrow in Bart’s direction.

Bart sped out of the way and the arrow lodged itself into the couch. “Dude, not cool!” he shouted.

As Chloe and Lois watched in horror from the stairs, AC and Victor sprang into action before Oliver could do any further damage. Victor quickly took the crossbow away while AC pulled Oliver’s hands behind his back, tightening the rope so he couldn’t move at all. But Oliver’s attention was on Bart as the younger man moved to grab a slice of pizza.

“How did you do that?” he demanded. “You were right in front of me and then you were gone.”

“You’re imagining things,” Bart replied. He shrugged and took a large bit of his pizza. “You’re the one who tried to kill me.”

“You kidnapped me,” Oliver fired back. His eyes narrowed as he looked around the room at the team. “You’re all going to prison for this. My lawyers will see to it.”

Bart made a face and sat down on the couch, picking up the video controller AC had dropped. “Dude, you can threaten us all you want, but you’re from another reality. You don’t belong here.”

Oliver rolled his eyes. “If you’re trying to work up a case for an insanity defense, you’re all doing a great job,” he sneered.

“Seriously, do you have an off button?” Lois asked as she walked over to the coffee table to grab a slice of pizza. He had been complaining nonstop and if her hand didn’t still hurt, she would consider punching him in the face again.

“Which one of your fellow reporters do you think will get the scoop on your arrest?” Oliver retorted.

“What can we do to make you believe us?” Chloe asked. She moved closer to Oliver, doing her best to ignore the way he glared at her.

“You could start by untying me,” Oliver replied. “It’s not too late for you to get back on the right side, Chloe. This isn’t going to end well for anyone who went against me,” he warned.

Victor snorted and dropped Oliver’s crossbow on the desk before moving toward the pizza. “As you can see, we’re all terrified,” he replied.

“Enjoy your pizza now because you won’t be getting any when you’re all rotting away in prison,” Oliver snapped.

Chloe rubbed her hands over her face, barely resisting the urge to scream. Arguing with Oliver wasn’t going to get them anywhere, but he was obviously too stubborn to listen to reason. She opened her mouth to try again just as the double doors opened and Clark walked in, his expression grim.

Oliver’s head turned in the direction of the door; his interest obviously peaked by the new arrival. “I’m being held against my will! If you help me, I can get you anything you want. I have money!” he called as he struggled against the ropes.

“Stop talking!” Chloe cried. She saw the shocked look on his face, but she ignored him and crossed the room to Clark. The look on his face told her the news wasn’t good, but she tried to hold on to the last little bit of hope she had that maybe there was something they could do to fix this. “What happened with Jor-El?” she asked.

Clark shook his head. “I’m sorry, Chloe. He said there’s nothing we can do without the mirror box,” he said.

“What does that mean?” Chloe demanded. She barely felt Lois slide her arm around her shoulders as she kept her gaze focused on Clark. “Are you telling me that we have no way of getting Ollie back?” Her stomach tightened and she forced herself to take a deep breath even as she felt the tears welling in the corners of her eyes.

“I’m sorry,” Clark said again. He exchanged a helpless glance with Lois. “Oliver is going to have to use the mirror box to get back on his own,” he said. “It’s the only way.”

“What are you people talking about?” Oliver asked. “I’m right here,” he grumbled.

Chloe sighed. She knew she had no other choice but to wait and hope that Oliver would find his way back soon. She just wished she didn’t have to be around this version of Oliver in the meantime.

***

After finding Clark and Lois arguing in the barn, Oliver had gathered everyone in the Kents’ living room to come up with a plan for getting into the Luthor mansion. He had broken into the place enough times over the years that he knew all the secret passageways like the back of his hand. The problem was that he was used to going in there as Green Arrow with his full gear and Watchtower accessing the security cameras to make sure that he stayed one step ahead of Lex and his guards.

Chloe had offered to hack into the security feed and Clark had brought her his mother’s laptop to use. She explained that she needed to go in through Queen Industries’ secure server first to make sure Lex wouldn’t be able to track the intrusion back to Mrs. Kent and it was going to take some time. Oliver knew he had no choice but to wait because it wasn’t a good idea to go in blind. The last thing he needed was to have a run in with Lex while he was stuck in a different reality.

Once Chloe managed to access the footage, she tapped into the cameras and pulled up an image of Lex sitting in his study. Clark immediately had second thoughts about the whole thing, suggesting they at least wait until the next morning when Lex left for work. Lois asked how someone who was made of steel could be afraid of a bald billionaire and the two had started arguing all over again. Oliver had been seriously considering going to the mansion on his own just to get away from them before Chloe had intervened once again and asked Clark if he had any walkie talkies they could use to communicate so she could guide them through the mansion.

Clark had disappeared up the stairs nearly twenty minutes ago and Oliver’s patience was starting to wear out as he continued to pace the living room. Chloe’s attention was on the computer while Lois wandered through the first floor of the house, probably poking her nose into things that were none of her business. Oliver was about to go see what was keeping Clark when Lois’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts.

“Farm Boy!” Lois shouted. She stood at the bottom of the stairs tapping her foot against the hardwood. “We’re not getting any younger down here!”

“Lois, you’re being rude,” Chloe pointed out. She gestured toward the TV. “Why don’t you try and find something to watch?” she suggested.

“This is more fun,” Lois replied.

Oliver rolled his eyes and turned his attention to Chloe. Aside from her computer insight, she hadn’t said much of anything since they’d come in from the barn. He wondered if he’d overstepped by suggesting that she belonged with a guy she openly seemed to despise. But it was too late to take it back now. He just hoped the poor bastard would realize how lucky he was if Chloe did end up helping him.

Clark came back downstairs carrying a hooded sweatshirt and the walkie talkies Chloe had requested. Ignoring Lois, he handed the sweatshirt to Oliver. “It’s probably not the disguise you’re used to,” he said.

“You’d be surprised,” Oliver muttered, thinking about all the time he’d spent running around in a hoodie and sunglasses when he’d been hiding from the VRA. He slipped off his suit jacket and tie and pulled the sweatshirt over his head. “Thanks.”

Clark nodded and handed the walkie talkies to Chloe’s. “These were my dad’s. I think they should still work,” he said.

“Let’s hope,” Chloe replied. She set the channel and held out one of them to Oliver.

He hesitated, his mind flashing back to the moment in Watchtower when Chloe had given him a walkie talkie and their lives had gone to hell soon after. Swallowing hard, he decided to ignore the déjà vu moment and took the device from Chloe. “Thanks.” Tucking it into his pocket, he turned to Clark. “Ready?”

“Yeah,” Clark replied. He glanced at Lois one more time before walking over to Oliver. He picked him up awkwardly against his side and sped away.

Seconds later, Clark set him down and Oliver leaned forward, resting his hands on his knees as the world spun around him. His stomach turned over and he fought back the urge to throw up. He would take jumping from rooftop to rooftop or swinging from his zip line over traveling by super speed any day. His vision blurred slightly as he rose to his full height and he took several deep breaths until the nausea finally passed.

“Are you okay?” Clark asked.

“Yeah,” Oliver replied. He turned to face the other man as they stood in the woods behind the Luthor mansion. Clark looked apprehensive, but that was nothing new, no matter what reality they were in. Oliver didn’t have time to coddle him. He just wanted to get this whole thing over with. “Follow me,” he said.

The plan was fairly straightforward. They would sneak into the mansion through one of the many secret passageways and look for the mirror box. Oliver assumed it was in the private safe in Lex’s bedroom. Since he didn’t have any of his gear or equipment, he was going to have to rely on Clark to break the door open, something he hadn’t shared with him yet. He was having a hard enough time dealing with the fact that they were breaking into the mansion in the first place.

Oliver found the hidden entrance to the tunnel that would lead to the spare bedroom that Lana had once occupied in his reality. He glanced at Clark again, momentarily wondering if Lana was part of his life in this world. He quickly decided he didn’t want to know. “Ready?” he asked.

Clark looked more uncertain than ever. “How do you know about this?” He gestured to the tunnel.

Oliver smirked. “I know all the entrances and exits to this place. Normally when I break in, I’ve got my full gear and I usually go in through one of the skylights or upstairs windows, but what can you do?” he joked. Just like the Clark he knew, this one didn’t even crack a smile. Oliver figured lack of a sense of humor was just part of the alien genetic makeup.

“Maybe we should rethink waiting until tomorrow. There’s less chance of getting caught if Lex is at work,” Clark suggested again.

Oliver counted to ten, trying his best to hold onto his temper. He was so close to getting back to Chloe that he wasn’t about to let anything stand in his way, especially Clark’s conscience. “No offense man, but I’ve had enough of this reality. I’d say you can just wait here for me to get back, but I’m going to need your help getting into Lex’s safe.”

Clark’s eyes widened. “You didn’t say anything about a safe,” he said.

“That’s because I didn’t want to waste any more time,” Oliver replied. He sighed loudly, dropping his chin to his chest. He could see that Clark wasn’t going to budge until he gave him more information. He was starting to think they should have brought Chloe and Lois with them. Chloe could help him access the safe while Lois annoyed Clark into falling in line.

“Look man, I know this whole thing is weird for you. It’s weird for me too. But I need to get that mirror box so I can get back to the reality I’m used to and I’m sorry this goes against your ethics or your morals or whatever you want to call it, but I don’t see any other choice in the matter. I need your help,” Oliver said.

Clark nodded, not saying anything for a moment. “Do you do stuff like this in your reality with that version of me?” he asked.

Oliver laughed. “We work together but it took us awhile to get to that point. We’re both pretty stubborn and like you, that Clark has a different view of how far is too far than I do. We’ve butted heads a lot over the years,” he said.

“But you must be good friends if you know his secret,” Clark pointed out.

“He asked me to the best man at his wedding, so yeah we’re pretty good friends,” Oliver replied. He laughed at the shocked look on Clark’s face. “Should I be offended?” he joked.

“No,” Clark replied quickly. “It’s just hard to grasp that there’s another version of me out there and he’s getting married.”

“To Lois,” Oliver supplied..

“Lois?” Clark echoed. His eyes widened dramatically and Oliver started laughing harder. “Lois as in the Lois who is waiting at the farm right now?” he asked.

“The one and only,” Oliver replied. He patted Clark on the shoulder sympathetically. “Can I offer you some advice? You should get to know Lois. Chloe too,” he said. “Your life will be a lot better with them in it.”

Clark continued to stare at him like he had two heads. “I just assumed they would go back to Star City after this and we could all pretend like it never happened,” he said.

“You could do that,” Oliver agreed. “Or you could stop flying solo and see what it’s like to work with people who will always have your back. Chloe has a whole team of heroes that she’s working with and Lois is a lot to take, but she’d never let you down. It’s just something for you to think about,” he said.

“Maybe we should just go inside,” Clark suggested.

Oliver nodded. He pulled the flashlight he’d taken from the farm from his pocket and turned it on, slipping into the tunnel with Clark right behind him. He wasn’t sure if it was his place to give Clark advice anymore than it had been his place to tell Chloe that she should help the other Oliver get his life on track. But if this experience had shown him anything, it was how good he had it in his world and he wanted these versions of his friends to have the same chance.

The two men walked the long corridor in silence. When they reached the door, Oliver held his breath, pushing it open slowly. He was relieved to see the room was empty. Stepping inside, he grabbed the walkie talkie from his pocket as Clark pushed the passageway door closed behind them.

“We’re inside,” he said quietly.

“Copy that,” Chloe replied. “Lex is still in the study and the hallway is empty,” she said. “I’m putting the cameras on a fifteen minute loop.”

“Thanks.”

Oliver opened the door and motioned for Clark to follow him to the bedroom at the end of the hall. He led him inside and showed him the safe built into the back wall of the closet. “Can you get the door open?” he asked.

Clark nodded. He gripped the handle in his hands and turned it hard, prying it away from the wall. He reached into the hole where the handle used to be and pulled the door to the safe open. Before either of them could walk in, the walkie talkie in Oliver’s hand beeped.

“You must have triggered a silent alarm. Lex is heading in your direction,” Chloe warned.

Oliver swallowed hard, quickly weighing his options. The safe was packed with stuff and it would take time to find the mirror box, but he knew he couldn’t let Lex see him. “You have to stop him before he gets in here,” he told Clark.

Clark’s eyes widened. “What am I supposed to do?” he asked.

“I don’t know, use your imagination,” Oliver replied. He stepped into the safe and started moving stuff aside as he looked for the box. When Clark remained rooted to the same spot, Oliver glared at him over his shoulder. “Go!”

The other man glared back at him and disappeared in a blur. Oliver heard a loud thud and seconds later Clark was standing in front of him again. “I hit him on the head with a vase. I don’t know how long he’ll be out,” he said nervously.

Oliver couldn’t help grinning at the look on his face. It was a mixture between horror and the smallest hint of pride. “There might be hope for you yet,” he teased before turning his attention back to the shelves.

“You should hurry,” Clark said. He glanced at the door like he expected Lex to come in any second.

Oliver rolled his eyes but he held back the sarcastic remark on the tip of his tongue. He knew there was no reason to point out the obvious fact that he’d been in a hurry since they met because knowing Clark it would go right over his head. Instead, he focused his attention on the items in the safe, shoving aside artwork and heirloom pieces in search of the silver box.

He found it a few minutes later, breathing a sigh of relief as he grabbed it from the shelf. Oliver still wasn’t sure how it had ended up there in the first place when he’d been transported to Star City, but he didn’t give a damn at that moment. All he cared about was getting back to his reality and back to Chloe.

“All right, man, do your thing.” Oliver handed the mirror box to Clark.

“Give me a minute,” Clark replied. He studied the symbols on the mirror box, turning it over in his hands. “The book explained that I need to make sure they line up exactly right so you go to the right place.”

Oliver nodded, tension building between his shoulders at the thought of ending up in the wrong place and having to go through this all over again. “Take your time,” he said.

“I’ve got it,” Clark said. He started to turn the box, but Oliver reached out and stilled his hand.

“Wait, before you do that, I need you to make sure you get the other Oliver out of here when he comes back in my place. Just take him to Chloe no matter what,” Oliver insisted. He had no idea how the other Oliver was going to react when he returned and found himself in the Luthor mansion with Clark.

“I will,” Clark promised.

“Great, let’s do this,” Oliver replied. Anticipation had his heart pounding in his chest as he watched Clark carefully, silently praying he knew what he was doing.

Clark turned the mirror box to the right combination and quickly tossed it to Oliver as the light started to flash from it. Oliver clutched it tight in his hand as his world began to spin once again. He realized he was actually moving this time, his body rotating at an alarming speed. Suddenly, the spinning slowed down as quickly as it had started and he heard familiar voices around him.

“What did you say to me?”

“Victor, don’t!”

“Hit him, Microchip!”

“Stop it!”

“Shorty is right. Hit him!”

Oliver blinked. It took him a second to regain his bearings and his mind slowly registered that he was in his Green Arrow uniform again and his arms were tied behind his back. Before he could be relieved that he was at Watchtower, he saw Victor step forward looking angrier than Oliver had ever seen him. He quickly threw all his weight to one side causing the chair to topple over mere seconds before Victor’s fist would have broken his jaw.

“Chloe!” Oliver shouted. From his position on the floor, he could see her standing near the main computer terminal. “Chloe, I need you!” he called as Victor moved toward him again.

“Don’t talk to her,” Lois snapped. She moved to block her from his line of sight. “Victor, just pick him up and hit him,” she encouraged.

“Wait.” Chloe pushed past Lois and Victor and knelt down on the floor beside Oliver. He had called out to her for help before, but there was something different this time. She tilted her head to look into his eyes, searching them. “Ollie.” Relief washed over her and she threw her arms around him, burying her face in his neck despite the weird angle.

“Hey Sidekick,” Oliver replied. He turned his head and pressed a kiss to her hair as he struggled against the ropes, desperate to finally be able to hold her. “Can someone help me out here so I can hug my girlfriend?”

“Are we sure it’s him?” Bart asked skeptically. He crossed his arms over his chest and eyed Oliver suspiciously. “Maybe we should hit him just in case,” he suggested.

Oliver rolled his eyes and Chloe lifted her head from his neck to glare at the younger man. “It’s him,” she said firmly. “AC, help him.”

“Sorry about that, Ollie,” AC said sheepishly. He knelt down and quickly untied him. “The other Oliver was kind of a pain,” he explained.

“I heard,” Oliver replied dryly. As soon as he was free from the chair, he sat up, pulling Chloe even closer to him and wrapping his arms around her. “God, I missed you.” He buried his face in her hair, basking in the familiar scent of her shampoo.

“I missed you too,” Chloe replied. She tightened her grip around him, not wanting to ever let him go again. He’d been gone less than day, but it felt like so much longer after all those months of being apart.

Clark stepped forward, reaching down to pick up the mirror box Oliver had dropped when the chair had fallen over. “Are you all right?” he asked.

“Yeah,” Oliver replied. Keeping his arms around Chloe, he stood up, tugging her to her feet as well. “I’ll be even better when you get rid of that thing once and for all,” he said.

“It’s about time you got your ass back here, Queen,” Lois teased. Grinning, she wrapped her arms around him and Chloe. “The other you sucked,” she said.

Bart patted Oliver on the shoulder. “Seriously, Bossman, don’t leave us again. I know you yell at us sometimes, but that guy was crazy,” he complained.

“I never thought I’d say this, but Bart’s right,” Victor acknowledged. He smiled at Oliver. “I’ll take you over that you any day.”

“I’m touched guys, really,” Oliver replied. He held Chloe tighter as she rested her head against his chest and smiled at his friends. “Actually, the other versions of you guys hated him too and me by default so it’s nice to see all of you too,” he admitted.

Chloe pulled back slightly, keeping her hands on his arms as she looked up at him. “The other Oliver said the last thing he remembered was being in Star City. Is that where you were too?” she asked.

Oliver nodded. “I woke up in my car in the parking garage across from Queen Industries.” He gave his friends a brief rundown of his encounters with Lois, AC, Bart and finally Chloe. “It took me awhile to get through to her, but once I did the two of us and Lois flew to Metropolis and found Clark. We broke into the Luthor mansion, got the mirror box back and you know the rest,” he finished.

“Weird,” AC said. He grinned at Oliver. “At least now I get why Oliver kept telling me I was supposed to be protecting him. Let me know if you need a bodyguard, Boss,” he teased.

“Cute,” Oliver replied. “Why don’t you just stick to your day job, Fish Stick,” he suggested.

AC shrugged. “Offer is out there whenever you need it. Now I need to get back to Miami. Welcome back, Ollie,” he added as he headed for the door.

“We should go too,” Clark said. “I want to get back to the farm and get rid of this.” He held out his hand to Oliver. “I’m sorry about this.”

Oliver rolled his eyes as he shook Clark’s hand. “It’s not your fault,” he said. “Bart was the one who thought it was a Rubik’s cube.”

“I did not,” Bart replied defensively. “I thought it was a puzzle.”

“A Rubik’s cube is a puzzle, Short Stack,” Victor said.

“No one asked for your opinion Hard Drive,” Bart replied.

Oliver rolled his eyes and leaned toward Chloe, brushing his nose lightly against hers. “What do you say you and I get out of here?” he asked quietly.

She smiled up at him. “I think that sounds like a good idea. But you might want to change first,” she suggested. She retrieved the clothes she had grabbed earlier from the couch and handed them to Oliver.

“How did the other Oliver react to the leather?” he asked.

“Not well,” Chloe replied. “He thought the whole thing was some sort of plan orchestrated by Tess to screw with him. I take it you know they were married,” she said.

Oliver winced. He had purposely skipped over that detail when filling everyone in on what had happened in the other reality. He figured since Tess wasn’t at the Watchtower there was a chance Oliver wouldn’t have mentioned it. “Yeah, but it was a business deal to try and get control of Luthor Corp. from Lex. Tess despised Oliver as much as everyone else did,” he said flatly.

Chloe cupped his cheek in her hand. She could see how much it was bothering him that everyone had such a low opinion of the other Oliver. “We knew he wasn’t you, Ollie. But it’s over now. They’re going to go on living their lives in their world and we’ll do the same here. Together,” she added pointedly.

He didn’t say anything for a moment as he considered the advice he’d given the other Chloe. He had no idea whether or not she was going to take it, but he really hoped she did. He knew Chloe was right though. He was back and it was time to move on. “I’ll go change and we can go.” Oliver took the clothes and headed for the bathroom.

Chloe frowned, watched him walk away and wondered what she’d missed. A loud crash caught her attention and she turned to see Victor and Bart wrestling on the floor as Lois cheered them on. Clark tried to pull Lois out of the way and Chloe was about to try and break up the fight, when Oliver returned and hooked his arm around her waist.

“Let’s go, Sidekick,” he said as he steered her through the double doors and straight into the elevator without stopping.

“Ollie, maybe we should…”

Oliver’s took her face in his hands, cutting off the rest of her sentence when his lips crashed down over hers. Slightly taken aback, it took Chloe’s brain a second to catch up. But she quickly wrapped her arms around him, returning the kiss.

He didn’t pull back until his lungs started to burn. Gasping for air, Oliver rested his forehead against hers. “Sorry Sidekick, were you saying something?” he teased.

Chloe laughed. “It wasn’t important.” She stood on her toes and placed another light kiss to his lips. “What about you? Before you went to change, you seemed upset,” she said.

“I was just thinking about something I told the other Chloe,” Oliver replied. He rubbed his nose against hers before kissing her softly. “I told her that she should find a way to make Oliver wake up.” He pressed a kiss to her jaw. “I even suggested the tried and true method of a rabid dog and a Mack truck.” His mouth moved to her neck.

Chloe threaded her fingers through his hair, tilting her head to the side to give him more access. “Ollie, I know you meant well but he’s not you. How can you be so sure he’d even want to be saved?” she asked.

Oliver pulled back slightly so he could look into her eyes. “He is still Oliver Queen, Sidekick and I think that means that he belongs with Chloe Sullivan even if she does need to kick his ass first,” he replied.

Warmth spread through her chest and Chloe pressed her lips against his. “I love you,” she said.

“I love you,” Oliver replied. The elevator doors opened and he wrapped both his arms around her as they made their way out of the building. “If I remember correctly, you agreed to call in sick tomorrow.”

Chloe hugged him tighter. “I did. Actually, I think it might be one of those things that lasts for several days,” she said.

Oliver grinned. “I think you’re right.”

The End.

(For those interested, there will be a sequel based in the alternate universe. You can thank slytherinpunk for convincing me to write it).
